  • "A lovely property, central in Moffat, with easy access to motorway."

Modern and clean apartment with very large comfortable bed and great sitting/kitchen area, with smart tv. Hive heating meant we could easily boost heat when we felt cold (temperature outside was minus 6) and plenty of hot water. Met owner who was pleasant and respectful.

  • "A lovely comfortable flat, very spacious and well equipped."

Overlooking the main street, so great for people watching whilst drinking your morning coffee. There are plenty of good walks from the front door, and loads more a short drive away. David the owner made us feel very welcome and was very attentive. Unfortunately we cut our stay short by a day, escaping from the coming storm. Had we stayed David offered us the flat free of charge for the weekend. All in all a great week.

  • "We had a really nice holiday at 1 Syme Street, Moffat."

The location is great ( right in the town centre above a shop). The apartment is lovely with a very massive bed in the main bedroom. It had all the facilities you would expect and was very clean. I called the owner Dave just prior to the holiday and he was great to talk to and answered all of my questions. I would highly recommend this property and it is an ideal location for travelling around a Beautiful country with stunning views. The only disappointment for us is that the sky was constantly cloudy so we couldn’t benefit from the fact it was a dark sky area but as we go to Scotland most years it’s likely we will be back,

  • "This holiday flat was absolutely pristine."

Beautiful, clean, fresh decor, everything was just what we needed. Flat was ideally situated for us too, being on the main street. Noise from the street was not a problem as the bedrooms were further back in the property. I would definitely recommend this property and would be keen to return.

First class modern flat with all facilities required included - centrally located on the main street - parking available next to flat at the front or rear - found the main bed mattress a little bit hard for us personally but the twin beds very comfortable - good value for money - would certainly rent again

About the location

MOFFAT

Dumfries 21 miles

Nestling in the Annandale valley, Moffat developed in the 17th century from a village to a spa town where the sulphurous waters of the Moffat Well were held to have the power to heal and this led to an influx of visitors throughout the 18th and 19th centuries. Many of the buildings in the town date from this period and the present Town Hall was originally developed as a Bath House. The original well can still be visited and is a 1.5 mile walk from the town into the surrounding countryside. In addition to its renown as a spa town, Moffat also grew in stature due to the wool trade and also its position as a stopping point on journeys between England and Scotland. Today the town is popular with tourists and not just because of the superb scenery affording many opportunities for great walking, cycling and fishing. Situated 50 miles from Glasgow and Edinburgh, Moffat is the ideal base for travelling to events in the cities. It has a range of attractions including the Moffat Museum, theatres, art galleries and a selection of shops, cafes and restaurants. Treat yourself to some famous Moffat Toffee and don’t miss the annual Moffat Gala in July and not forgetting the renowned Moffat Sheep Races in August!
