The village of Forth lies at 1000 feet above sea level and is near the bustling market town of Lanark in South Lanarkshire. The village has a large sports centre, Post Office and grocery shops, a couple of pubs offering food as well as takeaways. Golfers will be in their element as there are a number of courses available within a twenty minute drive including Carnwath, Carluke, Fauldhouse, Lanark, Shotts and West Calder. Fishing enthusiast can visit New Mills Trout Fishing Park where any members of your group who aren’t familiar with the sport can take lessons. If you fancy a day out shopping then the McArthur Glen designer outlet at Livingston is a must.
