  • "Owners provided a welcome pack and were friendly and helpful."

Property was exactly as described and perfect for our requirements. Twice we were left without power, though owners were quick to attend to the problem. By coincidence, we had a similar experience on our previous Sykes holiday, in Powfoot, where we arrived to find that there was no functioning water supply. Again, it was attended to rapidly. We hope that next time we will be more fortunate. Apart from that, holiday was most enjoyable.

Thank you for leaving the cottage in such a tidy state. We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay with us, you were just so unlucky to experience probably the two worst storms of the year! Hope to see you again. Property Owner

We had a lovely stay at Redwood Cottage for the week commencing 5th May. As stated by others, the owners are very friendly and welcoming. They have put a lot of thought into the needs of guests including a generous welcoming pack. Reading their visitors book, Redwood Cottage has many repeat visitors and it is not hard to see why. The cottage was very clean and spacious with everything needed to make a holiday very enjoyable. We loved our stay.

  • "We enjoyed our stay at Redwood Cottage."

It is very comfortable, clean well-equipped and welcoming and just what we needed. We had family commitments in the area so did not have a chance to explore the area but are hoping to do so on our next visit. We really enjoyed sitting in the beautifully light conservatory. I am now intrigued by the history of the farm and having looked it up in old OS maps the redwood tree (or perhaps its predecessor) outside the conservatory appears to have been in situ since the 1880s!

We are so pleased you enjoyed Redwood Cottage, on your next visit we will show you old documents about the farm. Andrew’s family moved down from Scotland in the 50s. Property Owner

We didn’t need a lot of the stuff we bought with us. Our three small girls loved seeing the cows (and the cats and the adorable dog) and Amanda was really helpful answering our questions. The bedrooms were so comfortable, mattresses and linens all great quality; a proper hotel experience. We ate out at a couple of local pubs, of which, we found details of inside the cottage. A fab trip, we intend to return and have already recommended to our friends and family!

A warm welcome was received on arrival and there were 'little extra's' in the cottage we hadnt anticipated, making it feel 'home from home'. The cows in the adjacent field were fascinating to watch and the sun room at the rear of the property was ideal for family games, relaxing and reading. The weather was not great for us but we did have a couple of nice days in which we did punting in Cambridge (a must to see Cambridge at its best) and a walk around Houghton Mill (Actual mill closed due to COVID restrictions) but the surronding countryside is beautifual - we crossed a lock and saw it in operation. Also visited Hamilton Zoo, Stanwick Lakes and Grafton Water. Would definitely recommend the property and we hope to return soon
