  • “If I could give this property 6 stars out of 5 I would.”

It was perfect. It was spotlessly clean, very well equipped, extremely spacious and comfortable and in a lovely place with gorgeous views. I can’t begin to describe how kind and helpful the owner was. Great experience, thank you so much from us all.

The property

This spacious, ground floor former stable has been converted to a high standard using reclaimed bricks.

Set in the owner's extensive garden and offering a quite escape on the edge of Wicken village with pleasant rural views.

Ideal for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers the property is located just a short distance from one of the oldest nature reserves, Wicken Fen, a wetland Site of Special Scientific Interest.

The area also boasts an official 'dark sky' which is fantastic for star gazing enthusiasts due to the rural location.

The reserve offers extensive walks, boardwalks and cycle trails.

This lovely ground floor cottage lends itself perfectly to friends, families and those with mobility issues.

There is ample off road parking directly outside the front door which opens onto a light, bright entrance room which gives access to the sitting room and kitchen and dining area, both enjoy views of the back garden and beyond.

There is a shared wetroom centrally located in the property and three bedrooms beyond the sitting room.

A twin room and a walk-through twin room leading to the master bedroom.

The location is ideal for exploring the cathedral city of Ely, racing town of Newmarket, and the historic colleges, museums, shops and eateries which the university city of Cambridge has to offer.

This really is an ideal, rural spot for exploring everything this wonderful area has to offer.
