Park-up in one of two off-road parking spaces, before unloading your bags and soaking up your stunning surroundings.

Be welcomed into the contemporary open-plan living space, where you can look forward to preparing tasty home-cooked meals for your guests in the well-equipped kitchen which features a gas cooker and a handy washing machine, so you don’t have to bring your whole wardrobe!

Settle down around the dining table to savour the fruits of your labour as you toast to a wonderful lakeside retreat.

After your meal, retire to the generous sofa where you can relax in front of your favourite film on the Smart TV with BluRay, or continue the evening out on the enclosed decking where you can enjoy evening drinks with an impressive lake backdrop.

The anglers in your party will delight at the lower decking with seating which offers the perfect fishing spot for a tranquil few hours.

Take advantage of the range of activities available right on your doorstep, with Tallington Lakes offering an excellent selection of watersports from April to September, including wakeboarding, water zorbing and windsurfing to name a few, as well as a heated swimming pool and on-site bar and restaurant, ideal for those evenings where you don’t feel like cooking.

There is also a dry ski slope, tennis courts and a climbing centre nearby, so you will never be short of things to do!

Get better acquainted with your surroundings and tour the sights of Lincolnshire aboard two wheels, or take the short drive to the town of Stamford, where you will find the impressive St Leonard’s Priory and the magnificent Tudor-era mansion of Burghley House with exceptional gardens that include sculptures and a maze.

Next stop is the city of Peterborough, home to a grand medieval cathedral, the historic Longthorpe Tower which houses 14th-century wall paintings and the fascinating Flag Fen Archaeology Park, a 3,5000-year-old site with reconstructed round houses.

If you have time, be sure to visit Rutland for a scenic walk around its vast water nature reserve, a game of golf at its excellent golf club or a fun-filled family day at Rutland Zoo.
