  • "**Christmas at Shallowbridge!"

** We spent the week here from 23rd - 30th December and it was absolutely wonderful. So much thought and detail was put into making the whole place so welcoming and Christmassy - we were blown away. The best and cleanest holiday rental we have ever stayed in and the kitchen was a dream to cook Christmas lunch in. Thank you so much for making our stay so special and for the amazing hamper full of treats. I hope we get to come back again some day ❤️

  • "Just home from a fantastic two week stay in Shallowbridge farm with our friends."

There were two families of 4 on the holiday and we had ample room in this beautifully presented home, with everything available for us and all home comforts thought about. The best holiday accommodation we have ever stayed in and spotlessly clean. Lovely hamper on arrival was a nice personal touch aswell and much appreciated. Great location and peaceful and a fab base for visiting day trips to local sights. Would highly recommend and this property is a credit to the owners. Thank you for a fab summer holiday.

Not only was everything beautifully and tastefully furnished, it was fantastically equipped. The games room was popular with all ages. We loved the remote location, surrounded by fields. June and Derek left a lovely hamper of treats to make us feel really welcome. The best holiday home I’ve ever stayed in.

This is 5 star accommodation. Everything you need for a perfect holiday - all of which is High quality ,even down to some very clever retractable child gates on the stairs ( bottom and top) . The property has a stunning and safe garden , large seating and lounge area and a great external games room , and a new bbq area. The kitchen/ diner is well equipped and is set out to make cooking and eating a pleasure. The washing machine and dryer is very useful -as is the line ( with pegs) again good quality white goods. All 4 bedrooms are well furnished with high quality furniture and bedding and good storage and hanging space. Comfortable lounge With plenty of seating leading on the the front patio / seating area where you can be entertained by the sheep in the next field and swallows flying in and out of the farm sheds ( not used ) This is one of the best properties we have stayed in over the past 40 years of travelling around the Uk and will not hesitate to book again on our next visit to Cornwall.

  • "What an amazing property this was."

We travel to Cornwall every year, renting out different properties in different locations and I would go to say that this is probably the best yet. It had everything to could ask for, nothing was left to chance. The location was rural and made you feel like you were in your own hideaway, peaceful and quiet. The beds were, some of the best we have slept on, showers were fantastic (Great pressure) and the house was as clean as our own home. We had a fantastic welcome basket left for us on arrival, which was a lovely gesture. The only small downside was the Internet in the property is not the best for tv streaming, but this is not what you go on holiday for. In all, this is an amazing property and the owners were lovely and very responsive when contacted.

  • "We have recently returned from a second stay at the lovely Shallowbridge Farm and found it a great place for a relaxing holiday."

It offers high-quality accommodation in a peaceful, private, rural setting; surrounded by fields and areas of woodland and close to the beautiful, haunting landscapes of Bodmin Moor. The farmhouse is spacious and well equipped with everything you need for an easy and comfortable holiday; particularly useful was the addition of a second, large, larder fridge in addition to the existing freezer and fridge already provided. The heating system was efficient, easy to operate and quickly warmed the large building, making it a cosy and welcoming place to return to - whatever the weather! We particularly liked the outside areas: the large garden with its high quality garden furniture and the expanse of well-kept lawn and flowery borders June and Derrick are approachable and responsive and care for the place conscientiously and with great attention to detail; it was spotlessly clean, well maintained and the welcome pack provided was much appreciated after a long journey! The location is good because both coasts are reasonably accessible by car and Bodmin Moor, with its ponies, exotic cattle and walking tracks, is almost on the doorstep. All in all, this is one of the best holiday houses we have stayed in and we would recommend it as is an excellent place to destress and "chill out" and we look forward to our next stay.
