"Godrevy Barn was very well equipped, clean, warm and very comfortable."
Everything was provided for a lovely stay. A welcome pack was also provided consisting of milk, wine and fresh flowers. The hottub was well used and is situated in a private and secluded patio garden to the side of the property. This was our second time at the property and we would love to return.

"We had an excellent week again Godrevy Barn."
For Sykes Holidays rather than the owners I would like to raise the following point.
The time allowed into the property is 5pm and the requirement to vacate on the last day is 9am. This amounts to a whole day of the holiday. Prior to Covid and probably several years before it used to be 2-3pm in and 10am out. The times now in place were given to allow additional cleaning because of Covid which surely isn’t the issue now.
My other point is, I have received numerous messages offering discounts for holidays, what a pity these cannot be applied to bookings already made. We have a booking in Godrevy Cottage for Christmas made earlier this year and will pay the going rate. A discount for loyalty?

"Lovely well designed accommodation, but very cluttered with gee gaws on every surface."
Good selection of cookware, but an odd collection of crockery and glasses. Sofa needs to be replaced and the hot tub needs attention (headrests missing, sounds like a jet engine). Lovely area, great location for seeing sw Cornwall.

We assume by gee gaws you mean flowers etc. Obviously it is difficult to accommodate every guest and the majority like the 'home from home' feel. Should anyone request, Lou our housekeeper will remove anything not required for a guests stay.
On looking in the crockery and glasses cupboard there were at least four of everything matching with a few oddments. I have removed the oddments but as it is a sleep two plus baby property there is adequate provision for one item in use each and one in the dishwasher. There are now additional items so that the need to use the dishwasher when not full is eliminated.
As the sofa was only replaced last January we are unable to afford to replace it yet and again it is personal taste and you are the only guest to date who has highlighted it. Previously we have always had fabric sofas but they are difficult to keep in good condition as guests quite often leave stains etc and as we do not know their origin they are sometimes difficult to remove.
The reason for the headrests missing on the hot tub. The previous ones were holding water and we were concerned about the risk of water born disease and bacteria and so our Spa Maintenance advised us to replace them. Since Covid we have struggled to find replacement parts such as this for the tubs but have companies on the look out and intend replacing but it is out of our control. regarding the tub sounding like a jet engine - we had a replacement motor earlier in the year and as far as we are concerned and our maintenance team have advised us , it is running as it should so I am sorry that it caused you a problem.
we would like to think that we will be able to welcome you back to Angarrack in the future but if not we hope that you find your ideal property.

"We had the absolute best time staying here!"
The property is in such a good location, it was spotless when we arrived and everything has been thought of in terms of equipment.
The hot tub was bliss after being out all day exploring Cornwall. The shower was amazing, bed was so comfortable, I don’t have a bad word to say about Godrevy Barn. I will definitely be booking to come back!

"Property very cluttered and attention needed on kitchen implements ie glasses, plates and cutlery very mismatched."
There was no mirror anywhere convenient to do hair and makeup with a plug socket near by in fact no mirror. Garden area needs attention and hot tub needs up dating although clean.

We are confused as to what you mean by cluttered but assume that you are referring to the flowers etc. Obviously it is difficult to cater for every guests individual taste but should anyone not require anything that is provided it is no problem for Lou, our housekeeper to remove the items for the duration of the guests stay.
After checking the china cupboard there were four of everything plus oddments which as it is a sleep two property plus baby would enable one item in the dishwasher and one out but there are now additional items and the oddments have been removed. The cutlery was all matching and plenty of it so I am slightly confused but will add more.
We do not understand your comment that there was not a mirror in the property for you to do your hair. There is a long full length mirror in the bedroom, one in the bathroom and a large one in the lounge. All can be seen on the website pictures and there are plug sockets adjacent.
We have been unable to obtain the head rests for the hot tub and the previous ones were removed as they were holding water and we together with our maintenance team were concerned about the risk of water borne bacteria and made the decision that we would remove them. We have various companies trying to obtain replacements on our behalf.
The shrubs in the garden provide privacy but if you could advise us of what we need to do we would appreciate your advice.
We hope to see you at Angarrack again in the future but should we not we hope that you enjoy your breaks wherever you might go.

Perfect spot for St Ives and south Cornwall. The Barn is in a very quiet location with a well maintained hot tub, comfortable bed and everything needed for a holiday and more. Anne and Michael the owners and Lou the caretaker couldn’t do enough for us, communication was excellent.

"Very enjoyable Christmas stay."
Loved all the Christmas decorations and thank you so much for the wine and chocolates under the tree. The barn is comfortable and well equipped so cooking Christmas dinner was stress free. Great beaches and walks nearby and the village Christmas lights are amazing. Hot tub was lovely to relax and star gaze in at night.

"We found the Barn to meet our needs perfectly."
It was a perfect size for a couple. Definitely spacious enough and the privacy in the garden with the hot tub was lovely. Our weather was great so we sat out for breakfast each morning. Angarrack is a lovely village and the Inn was a few minutes walk for drinks and food. The Barn was well equipped with everything we needed. It was clean and well organised. Lovely bedding. Lou, the housekeeper left wine, milk and flowers for our arrival which were very much appreciated after our nine hour drive. Although we were there for family reasons, not a holiday, we would love to return again to relax, enjoy the hot tub, and all the surrounding areas. We did manage a walk along the cliffs at Godrevy Point which is a short distance from the property, but it’s very well placed to visit many more beautiful walks, beaches and towns in Cornwall.

"A great place to stay."
Central to all the areas we wanted to visit. The property had everything we needed for our stay and the hot tub was a great bonus. Good storage in the bedroom, and very clean. The bed was too hard for me but fine for my husband so I guess we are all different! Nice spacious bathroom. Also close to supermarket and restaurants so a great base for our holiday.

"Godrevy Barn was absolutely amazing!"
! It was extremely clean, and fully equipped beyond "anyones" expectations of a holiday cottage. We could not fault it Anne, Michael and Lou do a fantastic job in making your holiday happy and stress free. Michael was very helpful in explaining places to visit and how to get there. Anne and Lou were so lovely and friendly, they made us feel so welcome. We will be returning next year. Had a totally blissful time.. the hot tub was the perfect end to long days out

"We had the most relaxing stay at the barn."
The property is very comfortable has everything you need for a great holiday, and Lou was most helpful and around if you needed anything. The area that the barn is situated in, is a beautiful part of Cornwall and the village is near enough to all facilities but yet really quiet. I must just add that the garden would benefit from having some of the trees trimmed, and then you can enjoy the sunshine even more.

Lovely bungalow everything you need , secluded garden with hot tub , only downside was curtains in bedroom to light so when sun's up light flows in the bedroom, could do with some darker curtains otherwise lovely stay

"The cottage was in a lovely village, well equipped, with a great pub just a short distance away."
However, the photos were obviously taken a considerable time ago and do not reflect the inside or outside of the cottage presently. The garden is completely overgrown, with no views and the inside needs a complete de clutter. Also, there were dehumidifiers everywhere, and my husband felt obligated to empty the electric one each day.
A cupboard to store groceries would be helpful in the kitchen.
Lou the housekeeper was lovely and chatty.
Thank you for you feedback. We have arranged for a member of our team to carry out a QA visit at the property. The intention for garden and plants being planted and the choice of plants to enable the guests in the property to have privacy. Lou the housekeeper does keep on top of the garden. There is one dehumidifier in the hallway outside of the bathroom because we have people who dry wet suits and clothes in the shower and it has been extremely hard to clean at changeovers so this has made a tremendous difference. There is also one in the cupboard next to the dishwasher as it seems to get a lot of humid air in there. We are most appreciative when guests empty the dehumidifier but no one is asked to do so. There is a cupboard to store groceries. I'm sorry that this was missed.

"The photos on your site did not reflect the current state of the property."
So it was clear they were old photos, the sofa has changed as has the bed and the plants outside have grown
Your information about what we needed to take was inaccurate we took lots of things we didn't need and didn't take things we should have so had to go and buy.
I understand these are difficult times but it would have been more helpful to have accurate information as we choose the property on the photos!
The owners of the property were most helpful.
Thank you for taking the time leave your feedback. During the current time all guests are sent an email prior to their holiday which explains that owners may have removed additional items (DVDS, games, books etc) and that guests might like to include such items when packing for their trip. Guests for Godrevy Barn are also supplied with the property manager's number one week before the holiday begins so any queries could have been explored prior to arrival.
Unfortunately we are in a ‘no win situation because the sofa was damaged and the bed broken we changed them but as we frequently (in order to maintain our high standards)have to do this it is impossible for our website manager to be here on changeover times every time as he often has contracts abroad and is very busy.

"Absolute heaven, we immediately noticed that the patio and garden greenery was a little more mature than the photos would suggest, this was a massive plus as it added to the seclusion and privacy."
The hot tub was used daily, sitting back in the hot tub watching the annual meteor shower was a treat. The accomodation and location was perfect, a quiet village with a one minute drive to the ‘very’ busy A30, and a few mins drive to Hayle.
