  • "We enjoyed our stay at The Shippen!"

Nice rural location but close to places for visiting. We liked the eggs from the chickens and the local biscuits that were there when we arrived! We were made to feel welcome by the hosts and had a great stay.

  • "The owners of the Shippen are very friendly and kind - we had a lovely welcome and enjoyed the coffee, milk and biscuits set out for us on arrival."

The cottage had everything we needed and was very clean and cosy - our children enjoyed playing and exploring in the spacious garden, particularly swinging in the tree and collecting eggs from the chickens! We enjoyed relaxing in front of the wood burner, the beauty of the garden and surrounding countryside. A wonderful place to stay.

  • "Lovely friendly family, everything was provided for, the children especially loved having lots of dvds, books and games."

The family ensured we had WiFi which suited our teenager. Fresh milk, biscuits and eggs on arrival couldn’t ask for more. We arrived in the storms so we’re glad of a washing machine and nice fire to warm us, the cottage is well central heated and fire was used more for the novelty then needing the heat.
