  • “Beautiful cottage and surroundings.”

Owners were lovely and the scones, jam and clotted cream were a nice surprise. A great area to visit if you want a relaxing holiday with great walks. Golith Falls is definitely worth a visit.

Boasting an endearing position on the banks of the River Lynhe, resting at the foothills of the Bodmin Moor, is this detached property, Lynhays.

This tranquil spot is perfect for a family who wish to wake up each morning to the soundtrack of birdsong and explore the rolling countryside of Cornwall and its glorious coastline.

Be welcomed into the conservatory, where you can sink into the plush sofa and get lost within a book or admire the garden where you will have opportunities to spot kingfishers, buzzards, swallows and the occasional heron.

Beyond here, is the spacious open-plan living room, where you will find all the essentials for a week-long break with your loved ones.

The superb kitchen comes with all the necessities to cater your own home-cooked meals before joining your loved ones at the dining table to enjoy a games evening or tuck into a meal whilst planning the days ahead.

Sink into the plush sofa after flicking through the collection of DVDs and enjoy a relaxing evening with your family in front of the woodburning stove.

Completing the interior are two well-presented bedrooms, each boasting a bright and airy interior, ample storage and views of the garden areas.

Spend a moment or two within the superb grounds, where you can stretch your legs and wander down to the river or enjoy a spot of al fresco dining during the summer months.

If you don’t feel like cooking one evening, venture into the nearby town of Launceston, where you will be delighted to find a selection of pubs and restaurants, as well as a choice of shops for picking up the essentials.

Whist visiting the town, spend some time at the 13th-century keep or hop on to the Steam Railway offering a 5-mile round trip on the North Cornwall line.

Alternatively, find miles of superb walking routes upon the Bodmin Moor or venture to the seaside resorts of Bude and Padstow, where you can soak up the sun at the sandy beaches during the summer months.
