  • "We had a lovely week in Little Owl."

The cottage was very bright and clean - a few cobwebs in bathroom but that’s to be expected from a converted cow shed. All the utensils you need in kitchen catered for and very comfortable settee. Plenty of storage space in bedroom and a lovely view from the French doors and easy access for our little dog to enjoy the field. Would recommend Polly Joke beach - a 10 minute walk from the car park.

  • "We loved our stay at Little Owl Cottage."

Hosts Joe & Theresa presented lovely cottages in the heart of the countryside. The Cottage itself was comfortable, very clean and well furnished, absolutely home from home. Great for dogs too, our Labrador had a fab time with lots of fields to walk him, right on your door step. Fantastic beaches and Crantock Beach is stunning and just 10 minutes drive from the cottage. So glad we found Bejowan Cottages, it’s our first holiday of this type now we have a dog and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

  • "Lovely property."

Comfortable and very well kitted out. Position is great if you have a dog. Would definitely come back. Very small point, from the website, it wasnt that clear that we had to drive down such a long bumpy track to the property. Didnt bother us but might some people.

  • "Al lovely cottage, among a group of cottages."

The cottage is warm, has everything you need for a holiday, and terrific views from the patio doors in the lounge. Handily place close to newquay, and easy to get anywhere in Cornwall. The owners live next door. They are lovely, very friendly, and keen to ensure we had everything we needed. The cottage provides direct access to the large garden area outside, which is brilliant as we had the dog with us. We would not hesitate to book this property again. The two Clomes pub and restaurant in the village is a must. The food is terrific.

Theresa and Joe were very friendly and made us feel welcome. Cottage as all that you require for a holiday and was clean and well equipped. Only 10 min walk from 2 decent dog friendly pubs and a shop with Newquay only 10 minutes drive away. Watergate bay is only 15 minutes away and is a fantastic dog friendly beach and is well worth a visit.

About the location

QUINTRELL DOWNS

Newquay 3 miles; Perranporth 9.1 miles

This Cornish village rests some three miles south-east of Newquay, named after the surrounding area of moorland and playing host to a local shop, a couple of pubs, a garden centre and the railway station, which operates local services every couple of hours between Par and Newquay. You can also access Newquay by car, via the A392, and discover its endless supply of rolling surf, three wonderful beaches, each offering something different, and a variety of family-friendly attractions. Spend a day at the zoo or sea life centre with the kids and try out some of its finest restaurants and bars for light refreshments or a spot of lunch. The South West Coast Path is a must, attracting tourists from all over, home to an abundance of wildlife and spectacular landscape scenery, as well as picturesque beaches and hidden coves. You also have the chocolate-box fishing village of Padstow with its thriving harbour and traditional Cornish amenities, while the city of Truro has museums, its beautiful cathedral, and cobbled streets. The Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan and the towns and villages of Fowey, Polperro and Mevigissey are also worth visiting. This is the ideal base for exploring the heart of Cornwall.
