The property

A rustic character cottage situated just outside the idyllic village of Gunwalloe, adjoining the magnificent Halzephron House on the stunning Lizard Peninsula.

The cottage enjoys a spectacular cliff top setting with amazing uninterrupted ocean views, making it suitable for families or groups of friends.

Arriving at the cottage you will be amazed on entering with the size and spacious accommodation defying its appearance.

Walking through the well-equipped kitchen and dining area takes you through to the cosy sitting room with the woodburning stove, adding to the character, making it perfect for those winter evenings after a bracing walk along the coastal path.

There are three bedrooms, a double and a bunk bedroom on the ground floor and a galleried twin bedroom with a porthole window to relax and just enjoy the stunning views on the first floor.

There are two gardens to enjoy outside, a small area to the front and a large lawned garden to the side where you can find a quiet spot to read a book, sunbathe or simply gaze out to sea.

A firepit to keep you warm throughout the evening and a barbecue for alfresco dining adds to the wonderful atmosphere of the property.

Guests also have access to the owner’s wildflower meadow with an amphitheatre where incredible views of the sunset can be admired.

Beach lovers will be spoilt for choice here with Fishing Cove, Dollar Cove and Church Cove, three leading Poldark locations, both being a short walk away.

Also within walking distance is the local golf course set on the stunning coast.

The Helford River offers a variety of activities and is very popular with garden enthusiasts, sailors, birdwatchers and fans of watersports.

You are also a very short stroll away from one of the most historic and famous inns in Cornwall, the 500 year old Halzephron Inn where a warm welcome is guaranteed with the award-winning restaurant utilising the freshest local food and serving local ales in the bar to enjoy a drink after a day on the beach, or even a cream tea, perfect on a sunny afternoon.

You will understand why this wonderful pub has been voted one of the UK's best pubs by the AA.

Further afield, you can take a visit to Mullion, which is home to a selection of popular restaurants, shops and pubs.

Why not visit the Mullion Meadows Chocolate Factory or Mullion Cove which is a pretty working harbour?

Alternatively, for a day out, you can also visit Helston, a pleasant, busy market town which is famous for its Flora Day Festival as well as the Helston Folk Museum.

Gunwalloe village is situated amongst the sand dunes and cliffs on the west coast of the Lizard Peninsula with three beaches, a large stretch of sand reaching as far as Porthleven, Dollar and Church Cove and a popular pub, The Halzephron Inn, offering tables outside with views right across Mount’s Bay. Gunwalloe is near to Mullion which is a large village on the Lizard Peninsula, the most southerly tip of mainland Britain. The village is home to a selection of popular restaurants, shops and pubs, Mullion Meadows Chocolate Factory and coffee shop, as well as Mullion Cove, a pretty working harbour. Helston is a pleasant, busy market town famous for its Flora Day Festival and the fascinating Helston Folk Museum and the very popular Flambards theme park. Also within half an hours drive are Falmouth, St Ives and Penzance. The Helford River, with boat hire, sub-tropical gardens and two fabulous pubs is also just a 15 minute drive. Further afield is the harbour town of Falmouth to the east and Land's End to the west. Gunwalloe is a wonderful holiday destination offering plenty of attractions for the whole family
