Lovely outside space and facilities to enjoy for all the family. Of all the very many places I have stayed over the years we all felt this to be the cleanest, without question. We really felt that the communal living area, i.e lounge/dining/kitchen area in one space, contribute to the quality of our time together. This stunning log cabin is one of five holiday cottages within 6 acres of grounds at Stowford Lodge, on the outskirts of Tarka in North Devon.
Overlooking lush green meadows, and all on the ground floor, this immaculately-presented modern cosy lodge has oak floors throughout and an open plan living area with comfy sofas, well-equipped kitchen, and dining area which opens onto a sunny veranda.
This is ideal for outdoor dining or just lazing and gazing at the wonderful views and the sunsets are amazing from this point.

The owners live in the neighbouring farmhouse and keep hens, ponies, and sheep, which graze on the adjacent fields.
The Tarka Trail long distance footpath and cycle trail is 1/4 mile away, ideal for leisurely strolls and bike rides plus there is a host of countryside pursuits in this beautiful part of Devon including horse riding and fishing.
The town of Great Torrington has a pannier market which is well-stocked with award-winning shops, pubs and cafes, and has tourist attractions giving an insight into its link with the Civil War.
Visit Dartington Crystal and see glassblowing, or spend a day wandering around the beautiful RHS Rosemoor Gardens with an arboretum and herbaceous borders, just 2 miles from this lodge.
