The property

Perfectly located for touring the south coast of Cornwall, this charming end-terrace house is located in a quiet residential area of the historic village of Charlestown.

Just a short walk from the village, harbour and beach, this cottage is perfect for a family, couples or group of friends looking for a coastal break away.

There are three nicely furnished bedrooms with the double having the benefit of en-suite facilities.

The ground floor features a kitchen with dining area together with a separate sitting room which leads directly out into the garden with a patio area, a nice quiet spot to relax after a day out exploring the coast.

Charlestown harbour is an unspoilt Grade II listed harbour well known as a key location for many films and TV programmes particularly Poldark.

The harbour is also the home port for a famous collection of old ships used in film projects throughout the world.

Walking by the harbour it is easy to imagine yourself being transported back into a bygone era.

With a fine collection of well-known pubs, restaurants and cafes there is bound to be something to suit the most discerning taste here.

Recommended in the Good Beach Guide, Charlestown Beach is a south-facing sloping sand and shingle beach with the sea being a noticeable turquoise colour formed by mica deposits from mining days gone by.

With tourist highlights such as the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the beautiful fishing village of Mevagissey all within a short drive, a stay this delightful cottage is a must.

St. Austell 1.5 miles; Eden Project 2 miles; Truro 16 miles.

A delightful and much sought-after coastal village of stone cottages and Regency houses, on the south coast near St. Austell. Famous for its collection of tall ships riding at anchor in the harbour, the shipwreck museum, excellent pubs and restaurants and easy access to the coastal path, it’s the perfect holiday destination. It has even been used as a filming location, most well known for appearing in Poldark. The area is rich in golf courses with Carlyon Bay and Porthpean close by. The picturesque fishing village of Mevagissey is 20 minutes' drive away by car, while the Lost Gardens of Heligan, several stately homes and gardens and the fabulous Eden Project are all within 5 miles, with Newquay and North Cornwall coast only a 35 minute drive away by car.
