  • "Was great. Well maintained and no issues!"

  • "The property had dog urine stained sofa cover which had to be removed before we could sit on it, Pet stain removal spray was found on the premises, so clearly the owners were aware of the issue before arrival."

(a throw was provided when the matter was raised to see us through the stay). The garden had not been maintained all year as it had last years fallen leaves still on the furniture. there was a toilet holder tube in the coal bucket along with other wrapping. The bathroom was had been changed to a bath and not the ease of access shower that was shown in the ad. The cleanliness and issues were all reported to the owners via Sykes but there has never been a response, which is the reason for a late review giving the owners an opportunity to respond rather than negative feedback. Clearly the owners are not bothered hence this late review.... Hopefully the owners have rectified the concerns, but beware before booking.

  • "The location of the house is perfect for walking into the lovely town."

The property had all the facilities you would expect, clean and well appointed with everything you need. There are lovely walks down to small coves and around the harbour. Great pubs and restaurants. Would certainly return.

  • "Lovely cottage in a great location, although some more information regarding household waste and recycling would be useful We also adhered to the request to hoover and clean surfaces prior to leaving the cottage."

When looking at the amount of dust and fibre behind sofa cushions and what was collected up from the carpet, it is doubtful that the cottage was thoroughly cleaned/hoovered before our arrival

  • "Charming cottage, as is Fowey."

Plenty of places to visit & walking trails. Ferry services across the Fowey and boat trip to Mevagissy, where bonus was seeing wildlife, minky whales & dolphins. Fowey very dog friendly. Very busy and had to book in advance most places to eat.

Fantastic location for Fowey - couple of issues with accommodation that needs sorting - shower door came off its rails which I had to strip down and repair as best as possible and evidence of damp on wall by log burner walls very thin so easy to hear the conversations next door with parking at top of the hill but overall met expectations

  • "The cottage was beautiful and had everything we needed."

It was a minute walk from the town centre where there are lots of different shops and restaurants. We hired a boat and also took a boat to the other side and did a 4 mile walk. We would stay again next time in Fowey.

  • "A lovely cottage in the heart of Fowey."

The description of the parking is a little misleading as road parking can be hard to find in Fowey and we parked at the town car park at the top of a very step hill about 5 minute walk away. The parking cost around £40 for the week. We are fit and are able to manage hill walking but less able bodied people would find it difficult.
