    “Wow...”

What a fabulous house! So spacious with spectacular views. The welcome hamper and toiletries were such a lovely touch. The kitchen was very well equipped. Unfortunately the weather wasnt great during our stay, which was a shame as we didnt get to use the outside space as much as we'd have liked. Just be aware there's a very steep hill to and from the ferry to Fowey and driving to the property the roads are very narrow but well worth the journey! We would have no hesitation in booking this ...

We would have no hesitation in booking this property again, it was perfect for our first family holiday of 2021!

The property

Proudly overlooking this bustling fishing village with far reaching views across the River Fowey and English Channel, is this fabulous holiday home, Seascape.

Beautifully styled throughout with chic interiors and ultra-sleek appliances, this gorgeous abode is sure to add a touch of luxury to your self-catering stay, no matter the occasion!

Entertain your friends and family with drinks at the breakfast bar, as you take to the impressive double oven and electric hob to prepare a grand feast for all to enjoy whilst gathered at the sociable dining table.

Continue the evenings festivities with a digestif out on the balcony, or retire to the warmth of the attractive sitting room as you snuggle up on the large corner sofa and watch all of your favourite movies on the Smart TV.

Take the staircase down to the lower-ground-floor where you can challenge loved ones to a game of pool in the cinema/games room, or a quick round on the PlayStation.

Back upstairs a handy utility room provides the perfect space to keep on top of the laundry throughout your stay.

Completing the interior of this sumptuous property are five bright and airy bedrooms comprised of a king-size, a double and a twin on the ground floor, and two king-size bedrooms resting on the lower ground floor.

Each of the bedrooms is finished with crisp white bedding and a bright and airy en-suite, as well as boasting views of the encompassing coast and countryside.

Outside, you can choose to dine alfresco with lunch out on the patio as you indulge in a refreshing glass of white wine and watch as boats bob happily in the waters below, or why not grab your finest beach gear and head to sandy shores of the National Trust owned Lantic Bay, before setting about on a breath-taking hike along the South West Coast Path to see landmarks such as Chapel Pool and the imposing ruins of St Catherine's Castle?

Also in Fowey, the incredible Fowey Estuary and Whitehouse Quay are well-worth a visit, whilst the Bird Lady of Fowey offers an animal encounter like never before.

Venture into the town of St Austell to see the collection of ancient artefacts at Shipwreck Treasure Museum or wander the colourful lawns of Pinetum Gardens, before heading inland to the Victorian China museum of Wheal Martyn.

Explore the Polperro Model Village and The Lost Gardens Heligan, and get up-close to the majestic creatures that call Porfell Wildlife Park and Sanctuary home.

With all of this and so much more awaiting your arrival, be sure to book a stay at Seascape.

About the location

POLRUAN

Polperro 6.5 miles; Looe 10 miles; Lostwithiel 10 miles.

Polruan is a small fishing village situated on a steep hill on the Fowey estuary, made famous by the author Daphne du Maurier. It remains unspoilt and retains the atmosphere of an old boat building community and has a small beach. The Polruan chain tower known as Polruan Blockhouse is one of only five known to exist in England, and is a small structure built beside a river or harbour to house the mechanism for raising and lowering a defensive chain to prevent the passage of ships in times of danger. It and the chain tower on the opposite bank of the River Fowey are the earliest chain towers to have been constructed. The village has a Post Office, local store, gift shop and pubs. A five minute ferry ride will take you to Fowey, with a range of sophisticated shops and restaurants. In August, the Fowey Regatta is a fun-filled week of activities and events, including RNLI displays, a carnival, spectacular firework displays and a display of classic yachts.
