“Stone rush lakes is a fabulous place It’s so peaceful and relaxing,an oasis away from the drama with Covid The Mill Restaurant is excellent,we had three delicious meals there.”

The girls are so friendly and helpful and couldn’t have looked after us better Definitely a place to return to!

“Lovely location and beautiful lodge.”

Wonderfully quiet and lots of wildlife. Reception very helpful and restaurant on site very good. However broken parasol and old rug left on decking was a bit of a shame. Also could do with more glasses (not enough for 1 each!) and crockery too for a 6 person place. Constantly washing up/ doing dishwasher which you don’t expect on holiday!

“Beds very comfy and shower refreshing this lodge is right on the edge of the lake.”

Really peaceful and enjoyed sitting on the deck watching all sorts of nature including the Kingfishers come and go. Trees planted between lodges so great privacy. Would also recommend the take away on site. No phone service but WiFi works well. Definitely going back.

“Peaceful location, private and quiet.”

.. the weather was kind, it was just warm enough to sit out on the deck and enjoy the views of the lake. The immediate area surrounding Stonerush Lakes is beautiful; Liskeard and Looe are only a short drive away for ‘everyday’ essential shopping. The lodge is spacious and in good refurbished condition; some signs of early ‘wear and tear’, but nothing major. The decor is neutral and comfortable. The kitchen area is well equipped and shiny clean. Various finger/hand marks and smears were evident on the numerous lodge windows. NB. There is also a washing machine/dryer at the property, this is located in a utility cupboard in the hall. The bedding and towels were beautifully clean and soft, no overpowering laundry smells. There are no curtains at the bedroom windows, just slat blinds; they don’t ‘blackout’ the early morning sunshine. NB: One of the twin rooms (opposite the front door hall area) developed a pungent foul smell! I’m certain this will be rectified in readiness of the next customer handover.

“Lovely clean and well presented lodge, perfect for families and our dogs loved it too.”

Good location for most of Cornwall. No noise at all, it was very peaceful. Even ended up feeding the fishes off the balcony most mornings. Easy check in, lovely reception staff who welcomed us and our dogs. In our lodge, the little things made a big difference like the washing up liquid, cute toiletries, tea, coffee, washing tabs etc. Would like one of the hot tub lodges next time I think as we kept passing everyone else’s and they looked awesome! Only negative I can think of was they left us a milk in the fridge which was 3 weeks out of date!!

“The lodge was beautifully clean and equipped with everything we could possibly need for a comfortable and relaxing break.”

Overlooking the lake, the location was perfect. The only fault - and it was quite a problem, although no reflection on the gorgeous lodge or Sykes holiday cottages; The neighbours from hell were staying in the lodge above ours (I think No. 4?). They argued and fought loudly until late into the night causing disturbance to both ourselves and other neighbours. I understand from the people staying at No. 1 who knocked on our door asking us to join them in making a complaint, that this had gone on before we arrived. I am told that 2. of the neighbours had complained but nothing had been done, so we didn't complain ourselves. On our last night the noise went on until 2am, shouting and shining torches into the windows of our lodge. We didn't see a security person at all during our stay. We left a day early rather than put up with another night with very little sleep. I think security needs to be addressed on this site, perhaps a conversation between someone in authority and these people would have helped.

“We absolutely loved it, when w saw the pictuers of the property I was hoping it lived up to expectations, it surpassed them, the property was pristine the location and the decking next to the lake was glorious sitting outside with a glass of wine, the property was had been given a make over !”

everything was brand new, the beds and sofas were comfy and all mod cons were included. The site was secluded (5 miles from Looe) they also had a restauraunt on site which served delicious food with great helpful staff. We would happily go back. We took our 2 kids with us (17 & 13 years) teir verdict "BEST EVER"

The property

Set in a quiet, select area of Cornwall surrounded by trees and a beautiful lake immediately in front, 3 Water’s Edge is a lovely holiday lodge offering stunning scenery amongst an array of family fun activities.

With an open-plan living space, the property offers a sociable aura where everyone can gather to spend quality time together, combining a kitchen, sitting and dining room in one, take a seat in one of the plush sofas and dive into a book while the kids enjoy your lovingly prepared meals at the table.

In the summer months, open up the patio doors and let in the summer breeze whilst choosing to dine alfresco at the outdoor table on the decking, at the front of the property the large terrace overlooks the luscious lake below, with uninterrupted views to watch the ducks and fish swim around freely.

At the end of the day, head to one of the three bedrooms for a peaceful night’s sleep, watching each of your favourite shows on the TVs in every room before falling sound asleep amongst the countryside air.

In the mornings, slip on one of the bathrobes and indulge in a long bath, the perfect way to unwind before exploring your surrounding settings.

Just a short walk away you will stumble across the Old Mill, an on-site bar and bistro with outside dining overlooking another lake, it’s an extremely peaceful setting to indulge in a glass of wine and a delicious dinner.

Found within the Stonerush Lakes lodge park, this property is perfectly positioned at the heart of the action, being a brilliant base for exploring the south of Cornwall.

Just a short drive to Porfell Wildlife Park and Sanctuary, head here for an educational and family fun day out, with a woodland walk, a children’s farm, and tearooms, it offers a wonderful action-packed day of exploring and nature spotting.

Close by you can find the bustling coastal town of Looe, offering a lovely beach to bathe on, the Old Guildhall Museum and Gaol, and a wide variety of eateries, Looe makes for a wonderful day out for all.

About the location

LANREATH

Pelynt 2 miles; Looe 5 miles; Polperro 6 miles.

Lanreath is a village in southeast Cornwall, five miles west of Looe. Lanreath is rural in character with a local shop and Post Office as well as a parish church. There are a number of ghost stories associated with Lanreath. The best-known features a ghost in black driving a coach pulled by a headless horse. Nearby Pelynt is home to a parish church, a number of local shops and pubs, especially the Jubilee Inn, which was an original farmhouse dating back to the 16th Century. Looe is Cornwall’s second largest fishing port and hence there is always a lively maritime bustle around the quay area of East Looe, which is connected to the quieter West Looe by a seven arched 19th century bridge over the River Looe. The sandy Looe beach adjoins the pier and is very popular with families because of its safe shallow swimming and vast expanse of sand. Polperro is a little further away and is a historic fishing village nestling at the head of a long valley leading down to the sea. With plenty of areas to visit, Lanreath is a quiet, pleasant place offering easy access to the coast, the moors, National Trust properties and Cornwall's famous gardens.
