We had originally booked for early April but had to defer due to Covid. We'd also booked for our daughter and family to join us but they were unable to due to illness (NOT Covid). We drove down to Cornwall in the pouring rain and I have to admit, I was anxious about what we'd find due to a review posted in August. However, the cottage is a beautiful old house, spotlessly clean, warm and very comfortable. The textiles and art work are stunning (with a nod to Charleston, the holiday home of the Bloomsbury Set). I have a bit of a phobia about other people's cushions, but these were all fresh and clean. The towels and bed linen all looked brand new and there was a note to say that things were swapped every week.
There was everything you could need in the kitchen, including a honey drizzler!
So, although we were rattling around on our own in a large cottage, we really enjoyed our stay and were able to relax and recharge after a stressful year.
