  • "Penmarlam Quay cottage is on quite a steep road , we stayed for a week in January as 2 of us were training for Devizes to Westminster race ."

We also took two Canadian canoes and paddled to Lleryn which was stunning. We walked some of south west coast path and had a couple of meals out . We didn’t use the car . The cottage was warm , cosy and well equipped. We had a lovely week, thank you

  • "What a lovely property!"

I couldn’t fault it in anyway. Beautiful location and interior. We will definiently be back to stay.

  • "An elegant cottage in a peaceful and tranquil location."

We enjoyed every aspect of our week at Penmarlam Quay Cottage. Visited Fowey town; Liskeard; the Eden Project; Lostwithiel; Wadebridge and Rock; The Duchy of Cornwall Nurseries, Bodmin and Polperro. Would recommend Flory Restaurant in Bodmin for a delicious meal.

  • "The cottage was very comfortable & clean."

The kitchen is very well equipped- plenty of good quality crockery, cookware & utensils. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio & the bbq was a great addition. We went with our 20something children and we didn’t feel cramped at all. Fowey is a 5minute ferry ride away which we did on most of our days - the cost does mount up £2.20 per adult for one way but it’s worth it because Fowey is lovely. There are lots of lovely walks from the cottage & we hardly used the car.

  • "We thought the property was great - clean and very wel equipped (but does need a new can opener) We loved the location - so quietly tucked away yet convenient for the ferry - we walked across the fields a couple of times."

Would thoroughly recommend and will be back to walk more of the coast path.

  • "Cottage was great - felt like a home-from-home."

Having all bedrooms en-suite is a real bonus. Position was great and the water taxi to Fowey was really fun/useful. Well equipped generally - a few niggles e.g.only 4 cushions for 6 outside chairs and the frying pans were far from non-stick. However overall a great place to stay and we would return.
