  • "First trip to Cornwall was made perfect by our stay at Emma Place."

It is a lovely house which provided us with a real home from home, superbly equipped and really well located. Owner was responsive to any questions we had and provided us with a lovely welcome pack. Would definitely visit again.

  • "Lovely well situated property with lots of space."

Very comfortable and well equipped. Only downside was the parking and only having one bathroom/toilet making it difficult with large family

  • "Emma Place is a delightful cottage."

It’s hidden away in the centre of Bodmin giving the impression of being somewhere remote & peaceful whilst still being close to civilisation. The cottage itself is spacious, clean and well furnished. It was a lovely base for our holiday & when the rain proved too much for trips out it was a great place to spend time relaxing & chilling out.

Very dog friendly and comfortable. The property is very well equipped and beautifully furnished. The individualized welcome goodies were very much appreciated after a long drive and the provision of dog beds was another bonus for us. We have so much more to see we want to return next year!

  • "The owners have made a lovely home from home ."

It is spotlessly clean , very well equipped with lovely accommodation and a charming garden . A lovely welcome cream tea on arrival and a good location to explore Cornwall . This is our second year and we love it .?

  • "It would be useful if there was a letter box outside the garden area as on 2 occasions the postman came into the fenced garden area, which is annoying as we had a dog with us."

The sofa in the lounge was uncomfortable and some of the carpets are fraying. The bed linen is looking worn & the toilet roll holder is rusty. Considering the rating for the property I would consider the aforementioned items should be addressed. Overall it’s a nice property and well decorated.

  • "We had a lovely relaxing week at Emma Place."

The cottage is well equipped and very comfy. We loved sitting in the sunny pretty garden. Touches like a cream tea on arrival and a dog bed provided were really appreciated. Our children loved the great selection of board games. We found plenty to do and loved Crantock Beach and the Camel Trail.

  • "Even before we arrived at Emma's Place we had a great feeling with the information we were given and checking whether we wanted the normal cream tea on arrival or mince pies."

When we arrived we were not disappointed. The cottage was lovely and felt very warm and cosy, it is fair to say we felt at home straight away. The kids couldn't wait to check out their rooms and were unpacked within minutes. The lists we were given in advance enabled us to sort where we were able to get some supplies and then settle in for the evening. Samantha emailed and texted us on arrival to make sure everything was okay and check if we needed anything. We have been lucky enough to stay in a number of different cottages in the past and Emma's Place is certainly one of the best and most homely. We would certainly consider returning in the future.

  • "The cottage is an absolute gem!"

It's amazingly quiet and yet moments walk from the middle of Bodmin and a CAMRA pub of the year. The kitchen is kitted out like your home (only possibly better!) - there's everything you could need and an brilliant triple oven! The ambiance is delightful and the cottage is beautifully decorated. The fire can be made to roar in the sitting room. The communications with the owner were incredibly smooth and good. We arrived to mince pies, a bottle of wine, a basket full of logs and warmth. It's just a wonderful place and I'm sure we'll visit again!

Beds were cosy and the garden was well secured for our dog too! Location wise, it is close to local shops and most beaches are within a twenty to thirty minute drive which was lovely!

  • "This holiday home is really something very special."

The house and garden are beautiful and the history of this home makes you feel privileged to stay there. It is the best equipped holiday home we have ever stayed in and the owners have gone to great effort to make their guests feel looked after . A Cornish tea on arrival was very welcome after a long drive. They really have thought of everything. The Location is good, the town is 2 minutes walk away and has everything you need, with some great places to visit within short drives. We loved it and will definitely go back . Recommend this home highly

  • "This accommodation was totally beautiful, spotlessly clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated, well maintained garden that made us want to sit outside and enjoy it."

In addition the history of the house and a leaflet advising of the location of shops and the best places to eat and visit. All in all faultless and a magical holiday experience where we made memories to cherish. Not forgetting the kindling and logs for us to make a fire, which we did on our one wet and chilly evening.

  • "Thoroughly recommend Emma Place."

Well situated in quiet location. Excellent contact with the owners both before and during our stay. House quirky, very comfortable and a real home from home in its furnishings and equipment. Exceeded our expectations in all respects. The only drawback, and I’m sure it’s been mentioned before is that there is only one bathroom with toilet which might give rise to problems when there is maximum occupancy. We were only two, so we were fine. If in future funds permit there is easily space in the main bedroom to create an en-suite.
