With the perfect location virtually in the centre of Cornwall, this delightful Grade II cottage is set within walled gardens in a select gated development on the outskirts of Bodmin in Cornwall.
Part of a beautiful Georgian building, superbly converted, this cottage has retained many of its period features with impressive high ceilings which you will notice the moment you enter the hallway before leading through to the open plan living room.
Here you can gather and converse whilst meals are being prepared or you plan the day ahead.
There are two comfortable double bedrooms, both with TVs, and completing the cottage is a family bathroom.
There is a bench outside the front of the cottage where you can enjoy a rest with a cup of coffee whilst planning your next day’s activities.
One of Cornwall's oldest towns, Bodmin is steeped in history with its imposing granite buildings, reminding one of the town’s importance during the tin mining boom in the 19th century.
Both walkers and cyclists are very well catered for here.
Walkers can easily join The Saints Way, a wonderful coast to coast walk from Padstow to Fowey.
Cyclists can go all the way to the coast at Padstow along the Camel Trail or head to the nearby Cardinham Woods where marked trails are perfect for both cycling and walking and where the river is on hand to cool down on a hot day.
A wonderful day out can be had on the Bodmin and Wenford Steam Railway taking you on a nostalgic journey through rolling countryside.
For a quieter more relaxing day, two particularly good picnic spots Delphi Bridge and even closer Bodmin Beacon with its outstanding panoramic views over the countryside, are both thoroughly recommended.
Just a 20 minute drive from this lovely cottage is the dramatic North Cornwall coastline, with many small rocky coves and popular sandy surfing beaches.
With a selection of restaurants and pubs in the town itself and a choice of individual shops, this really is the ideal location for a holiday or break whatever time of year.
