    “Comfortable, spacious cottage.”

Friendly and welcoming hosts. Good location for exploring Cornwall (my tip - if you intend to explore Poldark country to the west, allow plenty of time for your journey, as the A30 between Redruth and Penzance can be very slow moving). Road outside cottage was surprisingly busy early in the mornings (from 5am). Discovered there is an industrial depot a little further along, which explained the unexpected amount of freight lorries trundling by.

The property

Tucked away within the majestic setting of the Cornish countryside is the well-presented cottage, Chynoweth.

This heart-warming retreat is perfect for a couple looking to escape their daily routines and explore the rolling hills of Bodmin Moor, or venture to the dramatic coast to enjoy superb scenery.

After an action-packed day, look forward to spending your evenings within the amply equipped, open-plan living room, housing everything you will need for a week-long break.

Pick up delicious locally sourced ingredients from one of the nearby towns and rustle up an evening meal within the kitchen area before settling down to enjoy a romantic meal for two.

Curl up with your loved one within the sitting area, where you can unwind with a glass of wine whilst catching up on your favourite TV shows.

As the evening draws to a close, retire for a refreshing sleep within the double bedroom which houses an elegant interior to ensure that you and your loved one wake up each morning within a tranquil setting.

During the warmer months, throw open the patio doors to discover a spacious garden area, where you will be able to rustle up some summer treats upon the BBQ and simply catch the last glimpses of sunshine during a summer’s evening.

If you can tear yourself away from this idyllic base, venture to the small village of Lanivet where you will be delighted with the pub and shop that await you.

To keep you busy whilst staying here, make your way to the rugged Bodmin Moor, where you can explore miles of heather moorland which is grazed by endearing ponies.

Alternatively, head to the picturesque village of Charlestown and the surrounding area where you will find the outstanding Eden Project and the Lost Gardens Heligan.

Chynoweth is a memorable stay for you and your loved one to this part of Cornwall.
