Mr Whitby “On the first 4 or 5 visits we have made to this property over the last 10 years or so the pool temperature was always comfortable regardless of the time of year we stayed however the last 2 visits have left us with the clear impression that the new/current owners have lowered the temperature to a level where one finds yourself shivering and quite uncomfortable.”
On our previous visit we had been advised that work to the pool was the reason for the low temperature with insufficient time to heat the water up again. Unfortunately the temperature on this last visit was unchanged.

Unfortunately the temperature on this last visit was unchanged. The pool we believe is a big part of this amazing property and the low temperature setting should be looked at in our opinion.

Ms Elford “Our second time staying at this house and we weren't disappointed.”
The pool and sauna are a great bonus, especially after a long walk. It's a real home from home and we can't wait to return next year.
Ms Connor “Nicely located, Boscastle is lovely, but the property was very tired and needs redecoration inside and out.”
There is a musty smell each time you enter the property. The Sauna did not work, and the pool cover kept leaving plastic bits in the water. Windows were blown with glass needing replacing. The property was clean and all the essentials I.e kitchen wares were provided. Linen and property were clean. I don’t feel the price reflected our expectations from the photos. If spruced up, we would consider going back.
Mr MacEvoy “Great house I would recommend it”
Mr Makepeace “It's such a wonderful house and facilities, all effortlessly managed by Helpful Holidays and the owners and caretaker.”
A perfect place to visit, in idea surroundings for a relaxing and fun-filled holiday.
Mr Moore “Steve the caretaker was very helpful”

The property
This smart detached house sits on the hillside above the famous Cornish village and harbour of Boscastle.
You can make a splash and have family fun in its own indoor heated pool and sauna, or simply drink in the long sea views over the village.
On the ground floor, a cosy sitting room with open fire and large hub-of-house open plan, well-equipped kitchen with dining area and French windows opening onto the sunny patio area.
Also on this floor, a utility room with lockable door leading to the pool and a shower room (handy for the pool).
Upstairs three comfortable bedrooms - a roomy king size double with two large bay windows for those splendid views and en suite bathroom, a twin, a single and a shower room.
Relax over a sundowner in the large, well-stocked, enclosed garden with neat patio area.
The lively shops, pubs and cafés of this famous village, where two rivers meet the sea in a natural harbour between steep moorland hillsides, are a short stroll down the hill from Camellia House.
Enjoy the fabulous Coast Path and wooded valley walking or take to the saddle at the local pony-trekking centre.
For seaside fun, head to the pretty low-tide sandy beach at Bossiney or perhaps the bigger surfing beach at Trebarwith Strand just 5 miles away.
This is a much enjoyed family home perfectly placed for exploring this dramatic stretch of north Cornwall’s coastline.

About the location
BOSCASTLE
Tintagel 4 miles; Camelford 6 miles.
A perfect Cornish coastal village, the road through Boscastle runs down to the small harbour at the bottom of the hill. The quaint village shops, local restaurants and pubs offering good food, Cornish real ales and live entertainment by local musicians, make this an ever popular visitor destination. Spectacular cliff tops, rocky coves, wild surf, open fields and rich wildlife characterise this beautiful area. The coastal footpath passes through some of Britain’s most rugged and spectacular coastal scenery. The sandy beaches of Bossiney, Trebarwith Strand and Crackington Haven are all within 5 miles and the surfing beaches at Bude and Polzeath are within easy driving distance. Close at hand lie the delights of Tintagel, swathed in the legends of King Arthur, several stately homes and renowned gardens, or the wide open space of Bodmin Moor, famous for its granite tors and Daphne Du Maurier’s Jamaica Inn.
