  • "Well, what an amazing place!"

This Cottage is exceptional! The decor is quirky but lovely, we really like Frida Kahlo! The cleanliness is immaculate! The cottage is in simply in the most perfect location for all this area of Cornwall! Visited the Eden Project, Mevigissey, Fowey, Coastal footpath walks and our absolute favourite that you must go to is the Lost Garden of Heligan, brilliant! Has swimming pool which unfortunately we didn't use as got home late every day, but if you have children is perfect! Very many thanks to our hosts Oliver and Carla. Great Cottage totally recommend absolutely 5 stars!!

  • "Loved the cottage and the gardens were beautiful- it was lovely eating breakfast under the honeysuckle covered pergola."

Travelled with my two grandsons aged 13 and 11 they had a brilliant time in the pool for hours everyday which was well laid out and warm. Oliver and Carla are great hosts. Lots to see and do in the area but the pull of that pool and the beautiful setting drew us back each day. Thanks for a great relaxing holiday.

  • "We had a lovely time in Monkey Manor and would definitely come again."

Although the condition of the property is a bit tired in places this was made up for by the delightful, quiet surroundings, the very helpful and kind hosts and the charming monkey/ jungle theme of the barn.

  • "The cottage is in a lovely quiet area and had everything we needed - probably more to be honest."

The cottage interior felt very new, which was awesome. The beds were even more comfortable than at home. Well appointed kitchen and really helpful ‘Welcome’ folder providing lots of useful local information. Monkey Manor is within 15-20 minutes drive from both the Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan and we found some beautiful beaches and harbours in very close proximity too. The hosts were really helpful and easily contactable - it’s also worth introducing yourself to the sheep and goat who are super friendly and obviously the best of friends. We’ve had the best holiday with a great home base in the cottage- would highly recommend.

  • "Very nice retreat."

Had a lovely stay with my partner and my father who is 87so that he could visit my sister who lives just up the road. Recommend this place for families with children as plenty of space to run around in safe surroundings and plenty of animals with a couple of sheep being brought in I believe in the next week or two.

Couldn't wish for more as it was peaceful, clean, set in a wonderful location and the pool was an amazing bonus. We all had a great time and will hopefully be back in the future.

  • "Liked the location and farm surrounding."

My dog was happy and could roam around freely in the farm. my kids enjoyed the pool. few niggles like signal and wifi is not great. electric meter needs toping up after a while. no dish washer. But overall we enjoyed. it was like a home away from home. Host Oliver was great and friendly and helpful. will certainly coming again.
