  • "In many ways this house was nice in that the beds are very comfortable, towels really good quality and facilities excellent but we had issues with regard to a cleaning which I would prefer not to print but I am happy to discuss."

Also there were maintenance issues in that the freezer desperately needed defrosting. We had to prize the door open and chip away at the ice to then close it again. Cooker and bathroom extractor fans do not work and the lighting tube to the mirror over the bathroom sink has been removed but not replaced. It's disappointing in that this 3 bed property would have been ideal for us when visiting our son who lives in the area enabling our grandsons to stay with us when they wish. The gardens and restaurant are lovely so we would definately return to the site.

  • "Pheasants Walk cottage was very comfortable and well equipped."

The patio furniture and barbecue were impressive. On arrival the cottage was very clean and there was a welcome pack. There was a problem with the Lounge TV but the owner Alastair was very helpful and went the extra mile to source a new TV for us. Would definitely stay in this cottage again. Many thanks Rob

  • "Very cold on first night as economy 7 heating was being used but not switched on until we arrived."

Fortunately there was heaters in the bedrooms. There are 3 lights that need maintaining as they did not work. The light half way up the stairs needed a new lamp but we did not feel comfortable trying to replace it due to its height. The light above the sink needs a new fitting as the led lamp is integral and is a new unit one . And the lamp in the extractor above the cooker didn't work. This did not ruin the holiday at all but unless faults are recorded they will not be rectified. I think the property is unoccupied now for a few days.

The only thing which let this place down was the kitchen,Surely its not too much to ask for a couple of tea towels and dish cloths ,not even salt and pepper,a six bed house with an eight inch frying pan,

Thank you for your feedback, which is very valuable. Tea towels should have been included, and we've addressed the reason why they weren't provided on this occasion. As for the other itms you mention, we'll ensure that they're available in future, and that there's a larger frying pan. We hope that their absence wasn't too much of an inconvenience. • "Lovely house in a peaceful location."

Clean, tidy and comfortable; contains what you need for a break. Excellent base for visiting this part of Cornwall. My only ‘even better if’ we left a map of Falmouth in the property folder for someone else to use as we needed it when we went in to explore and thought it might be helpful for others. Would definitely recommend this property.

  • "We loved the cottage and as we have family in the area our first choice would be to book the cottage again when visiting."

The only thing I marked it down on slightly was the listing, only because the gym wasn’t open, maybe there could be a note that it’s not open out of season. If you could maybe pass on to the owner that they could maybe check the bathroom locks. When using the downstairs toilet someone had to let you out from outside and the bathroom lock didn’t turn, maybe so children can’t lock themselves in, but if that is not the case just mentioning it.

Thank you for your feedback. We're delighted that you enjoyed the cottage, and appreciate you bringing the bathroom locks to our attention. We've arranged to have them replaced, and hope that them not functioning properly didn't inconvenience you or your fellow guests too much. Best regards, Alastair. Property Owner
