Mount Joy Chapel is a beautifully converted Methodist chapel in lovely rural surroundings in the small hamlet of Mount Joy near Newquay.

This cottage will appeal to families who enjoy the finest holiday accommodation away from the bustle of a busy resort but still within easy reach of the coast.

This stunning property has kept many original features, including wooden beams, huge windows, wooden floors and a magnificent pendulum light fitting.

Guests will find tall ceilings and an open plan living area with a well-equipped kitchen, suitable for preparing tasty meals for family and friends whilst on holiday.

The underfloor heating throughout the cottage and the lovely little snug area with woodburning stove really add to the comfort during your stay.

With two cosy ground floor bedrooms, guests can then climb up the elegant spiral staircase to the beautiful master en-suite bedroom with super king-size bed and an additional sitting area.

A second spiral staircase will lead you to a room with a sofa bed.

Outside, there is ample off road parking and a small lawn overlooking the countryside.

The village of Quintrell Downs is nearby, with pubs and a small grocery shop for all the essentials.

Newquay, Cornwall's most popular holiday resort, is just an 8 minute drive away with a range of beaches to suit all the family, whether it's swimming, surfing or building sandcastles they're interested in.

There are so many activities to keep you entertained in the Newquay area, including the aquarium, the zoo, Cornish gardens and plenty of cycle ways and walks.

Newquay is the home of the UK’s surf scene, boasting three major beaches, the National Surf Centre and an endless supply of rolling surf, making it a watersports paradise. The town, with its zoo, sea life centre and varied selection of restaurants and pubs, also promises a holiday to remember. For avid walkers, the South West Coast Path passes in both directions along a stunning coastline of high cliffs, hidden coves and yet more beaches. The quaint harbour and fishing village of Padstow is just 14 miles away, while Truro, with its museums, cathedral, restaurants and cobbled streets, as well as the Eden Project, can be reached within 45 minutes. Picturesque St Ives and the Tate St Ives gallery is around an hour's drive or a train ride away. In fact, because nothing in Cornwall is far from Newquay, it’s the perfect touring base.
