  • "We had our honeymoon here 40 years ago and it was lovely to return."

Some lovely improvements to the place and yet still full of character. We shall return one day. Thank you.

  • "Great property everything provided - the only slight negative we had is that we had difficulty in finding it from the directions given."

.. we asked a local who didn't know either! Simply saying it is next door to Ocean Cove Holiday Park would have been easier. We loved the cottage and would definitely stay again - thank you.

Thank you for your positive feedback, pleased you enjoyed your stay. We will make sure directions are improved. Kind regards Nigel. Property Owner

  • "We enjoyed our stay at Fisherman's Cottage immensely."

It was clean, warm, comfortable and well equipped. A beautifully decorated little cottage full of history and charm, we hope to visit again in the future and would definitely recommend. Just one very small thing - we could not get the hose to work, we wanted to wash our dogs feet before he entered the cottage but managed with a bottle of water, not a problem though.

Thank you for your return booking and positive review. Sorry about the hose issue it is isolated in the bathroom. Look forward to hosting you again. Regards Hortensia & Nigel. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay at the Fisherman's Cottage, the cottage was very clean and tidy, it's perfectly placed for the South West coastal path, which we enjoy walking many miles of several times a year."

Bossiney is between Tintagel and Boscastle, so there are plenty of places to eat if you don't fancy cooking but the cottage has a well equipped kitchen. I would definitely stay again and have already recommended it to others. Thank you for a lovely break away.

  • "Fisherman’s Cottage is such a wonderful unique place to stay we loved it!"

It’s small but has everything you need. After long walks along the headland it’s lovely to come back to the cottage, putting the heater on to warm the place up and an extremely comfortable bed to rest those tired legs! Bathroom is small but has a fantastic powerful shower. The kitchen has everything you would need although the only cups for a coffee were enormous so good excuse we bought some local pottery cups from Boscastle which is great place to explore. What we really liked is that there are two areas to sit outside if the weathers good at the cottage front and back so it was great to come back after walking to sit and enjoy a drink or two! We will definitely be back again to stay and recommend to anyone who loves an interesting place to stay and Cornwall.

Thank you for your positive comments and score. We look forward to your return. Thank you so much for leaving the cottage spotless, much appreciated. Property Owner

  • "Excellent little bolt hole for exploring Cornwall."

Good facilities and clean. Handy parking space. Nice area to sit outside . Tintagel is a ten minute walk away for shops, eateries. Though positioned next to a road, there is hardly any traffic at night,so sleep is not disturbed. I would recommend this property and return again myself.

Thank you for your positive comments, but a bit bemused only giving 75% score? Property Owner

  • "Fisherman's Cottage was a wonderful place to stay and with a long history."

Cafe across the road, literally 15 minute walk to Tintagel and even less to get you onto the South West Coast path or down to the cove when the tide was out (mind it is a bit steep on the return). Although it has small footprint it has all that is needed and my partner and myself thought it is great place if you are using it as a base to travel about probably not so good if it was wet and you were shut in with no where to go. Although it is small I stand at just over 6 foot and managed not to clonk my head once. The place was clean and decor was in good condition and we would stay again.

It was within easy walking distance of Tintagel and the coastal paths and beaches which we made the most of with our dog. It was well equipped and thoughtfully decorated with some old wooden beams and lovely fireplace. Thankyou for making our holiday memorable.

  • "We really enjoyed the cottage, but just a couple of small niggles which the owners may think of addressing."

We were surprised that the refrigerator didn’t have a freezer section, so no ice for the G&T’s(!), but seriously some people may travel or buy frozen products and would have to throw them away. We also found the door lock a bit awkward until we got the knack after a couple of days. Otherwise a most enjoyable stay despite having to return a couple of days early because of the second lockdown. Would heartily recommend for two people who are looking for a compact property, plenty of heat available and would visit again.

. The cottage is looking a bit tired needs a little TLC how every a very comfortable bed and the weather was very good .I wouldn't recommend Fishersman cottages to stay Reguards Gordon Pearce

Thank you for your feedback. The cottage is a grade 2, 600 year old listed building and is maintained to a good standard as shown in the images on the website. Everything at the property is as shown on our property page. The decking is regularly pressure cleaned but please be aware that the cottage is surrounded by cedar and pine trees and, being in a coastal location, the wind carries the needles onto the decking so it needs to be swept daily. Birds do also nest in the trees. Many thanks Property Owner
