  • "Fantastic location and great to have the car by the house!"

  • "Spacious and comfortable cottage perfectly located for spending a week in St Just."

Only 100 yds from the centre of this lively small town but being in a no through road was very quiet, with views over the fields to the rear and the church to the front. Parking is not reserved exclusively for this cottage, but the space to the side suggested by the owner for one car was in practice always free. We would definitely stay here again.

  • "Fantastic holiday home in the perfect location."

Very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Very dog friendly town just far enough away from the busier towns but close enough to enjoy them we we wanted to. All the beautiful beaches were no more than a 15-20 minute drive away. Would definitely recommend The Labour exchange for a perfect holiday. The only criticism is that 1 week isn’t long enough!

  • "We had a fabulous week in St Just."

The property is ideally situated for walking. The property was very comfortably furnished and kitchen was well appointed. Pubs, shops, takeaways are all within a 2 minute walk. All in all a good central location.

  • "Very clean (we are pretty fussy about this) and well equipped house."

Bedrooms decent size. Enclosed yard. Nice views over the countryside. Good location, house is behind the church, very close to the village centre, but still quiet. Town/village has 2 pubs, some places to eat, ice-cream parlour, fish and chips and a couple of shops Recommended walk: Walk to Porth Nanven (when the tide is out), then to Cape Cornwall via the South West Coastal path and then back to St Just

Fantastic Gwynver beach 10 minutes away which was suitable for our dog plus many good walks from the doorstep. Brilliant holiday!

  • "The Labour Exchange cottage was a real home from home, beautifully presented, cosy and comfortable."

St Just was a great base for exploring Cornwall. We were sad to leave at the end of our holiday!

  • "Excellent accommodation and location, fulfilling what we have come to expect from your company."

Two very minor recommendations - firstly the washing machine would be better incorporating a tumble drier (particularly for autumn through to spring period), and secondly, addition of a simple BBQ facility in the garden (there was one in your cottage garden on the Isle of Wight last year) which in glorious weather would be welcome for people who like to cook in the residence . . . .

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave your valuable feedback. The Owner thanks you for your recommendations which they will consider going forward into 2021. We are glad you enjoyed your holiday and found the accommodation excellent and do hope to see you again in the future. Property Owner

  • "The house was beautiful and clean."

All facilities we needed were there to use. The house felt like a home. The back of the house has a beautiful view and being able to sit out in an evening was very relaxing. It is a very convenient location, only a 2 minute walk to the centre of St Just which had a good selection of shops providing all you need. Parking was no problem. With 2 vehicles the free council car park was a boon. St Just itself had everything you need and is in a good location to tour round the peninsular. There is plenty of walking if that is your pleasure. My wife walked down to the sea at Cape Cornwall several times in the early morning. It is certainly a house we would come back to in the future. The folder left in the house with instructions made everything clear and easy to use and the first page with the history of the building was very interesting. We took a TV with an incorporated DVD player which was a boon for our 5 year old grandson.

  • "Great service from Cornish Cottage Holidays."

Can’t fault them. Parts of the cottage could be modernised and freshened up to make it more appealing to book again.

Thank you taking the time to leave your feedback. The property was freshly decorated in the spring and carefully prepared with new furnishings and accessories, ready to welcome the first guests this year. Other guests have been really pleased with their choice. The property is exactly as described in the listing and in the photos. We are sorry to hear that The Labour Exchange didn't suit your preference for a more modern style on this occasion. Property Owner

About the location

Penzance 7.2 miles; St Ives 12.9 miles.

St Just is the nearest town to Land’s End and is situated approximately eight miles west of Penzance. The town itself is an ancient settlement that has a strong mining history and there are several monuments and prehistoric antiquities to visit including the Bronze Age settlement at Cape Cornwall. St Just is ideally located for visitors to explore the far west of Cornwall as it is situated on the edge of the moors and close to the beautiful north coast. In the centre of the town is Plain-an-Gwarry, a theatre used for miracle plays in medieval times, and in more recent times for the Lafrowda Festival.
