  • "Maggi and Charlie are friendly and on hand to answer any questions, the barn is spacious, very well equipped and the beds are comfortable."

You can sit back and relax Infront of the picture window whilst watching the farm animals. If you want peace and quiet this is perfect. I can recommend Widemouth bay for dog walks and watching the huge waves and surfers, 70p for 2 hours, toilet and a cafe, only 30 min drive. Our dog loved the farm and country walks, lots of sticks and smells. The grassed area is attached to the barn and is a good size with a picnic table.

The barn is beautiful and very dog friendly with a fully enclosed garden which is important to us when we holiday. Alan the ram was very entertaining and if you’ve children there’s plenty of animals to see : goats, geese... There was everything you could possibly want and the surrounding country side is stunning. There’s lots to do locally too with plenty of walks and places to visit. We will be back xxxx

  • "Billy's Barn was everything we wanted and more."

The Barn is very remote, with spectacular views and is based on a small farm. Very comfortable accommodation, all you need from a kitchen and the ensuite was an added bonus for a family. The hosts were so helpful and were on hand for any questions and very informative about the local area. They even invited the children to help feed the animals one morning, which literally made their holiday! The Beaches are truly out of this world, with the closest beach about 20mins away. Bradworthy is a 5min drive and has a great pub with amazing food and a great fish and chip van on certain nights. A fantastic family holiday, with so many memories made. Thank you Charlie, Maggi and Alan the sheep!

  • "A beautiful cottage with breathtaking views, exactly what we were hoping for from a late October getaway."

Even when we had rain it was just a lovely place to be, watching the world go by. The owners were around just enough to ensure we were comfortable, but not overbearing at all. The range of meat available for purchase from the farm is amongst some of the nicest we've ever had, and we'd highly recommend anyone staying in the cottage take advantage of this!

  • "We had a lovely week."

Our two dogs were able to go out into the garden which was fully enclosed. We needed to put the heating on when it turned chilly in the evenings, the barn warmed up very quickly and kept us warm. The beaches nearby were beautiful, with long stretches of sand. Families with children would especially like it here, plenty of farm animals to meet. A very quiet rural place although shops are not too far away.

  • "The cottage is lovely and we had a great time."

It has been thoughtfully equipped with everything you'll need for a weeks stay and finished to a high standard. The surrounding views are beautiful and the kids loved seeing the farm animals. It would be great if it had its own WiFi though, as the shared signal is weak.

  • "It's a lovely cottage in a great location."

Very tranquil. The only negative was the garden is not totally enclosed as described in the description . We specifically choose accommodation that has an enclosed garden where we can allow the dogs to come and go freely. The garden wall can be cleared your dog can jump 3ft. Having dogs that have high prey drives ours were constantly trying to catch the free range chickens .They had to be supervised at all times outside. This is something that could easily be rectified by the owners but did restrict the time we spent and the dogs spent in the garden.

Five star accomadation and the hosts go that extra mile to make you feel very welcome. A welcome basket of coffee wine fudge and flowers greets you. Everything is catered for from fresh towels games for children and even treats for your dog. The view from the lounge window is amazing especially to watch the sunrise and set. The animals are lovely to watch in the paddocks amongst the beautiful countryside setting. The garden is fenced off and perfectly safe. The best self catering we've visited and will be returning to frequently. Can't wait till we visit again.

  • "Billy's Barn is clean comfortable and well equipped."

The owners live on site and are lovely. Always available for a chat but pretty sure they'd leave you to get on with your holiday if that's what you want. It's on a small quiet farm with a few pigs, sheep, chickens, goat and a couple of dogs. Go and see the animals - or not. Like the owners, they're available but your choice if you see them or not. Definitely highly recommend a holiday here and would go again.

The setting is idyllic and opening the lounge windows each morning and seeing new born lambs frollicking in the field was such a tonic. The owners Maggi and Charlie were also a delight, very helpful and so welcoming. The cottage had everything we needed and Molly our Golden Retriever enjoyed the secure garden and we could relax knowing she was safe and sound. There were so many interesting places to visit that our week flew by and it was lovely to find so many dog friendly places to eat like the lovely Urchins in Bude and The Market Kitchen in Appledore.. We can highly recommend Billy' s Barn and we look forward to visiting again.

The accommodation was perfect and the owners, Maggie and Charlie were very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, we had to leave a day early due to the snow that was heading our way! Maybe we should have stayed, it would have been a very comfortable and cosy place to be snowed in at! Will definitely recommend to friends and family.
