  • "What a beautiful cottage!"

The location was ideal being, able to see the sea from the front door step. The owners had thought of everything and we enjoyed not only a tray set with a teapot and biscuits on our arrival, but also milk, butter, clotted cream and Prosecco in the fridge and also scones in a glass cake stand. Wow! Plus all the teas, coffee, sugar, dishwasher tablets, etc we could wish for and a very comfortable bed with plenty of towels, bath robes and slippers. Emma's Barn is a great base for discovering West Penwith and a very cosy cottage to return to at the end of a day's coastal walking. We will definitely be recommending it.

Endless supplies of logs for the burner was appreciated due to the bad weather we had. Chris the owner was very pleasant and helpful if we needed anything. Excellent welcome pack - scones (cream & jam),chilled wine, biscuits etc. Would definitely highly recommend.

About the location

ST JUST

Penzance 7.2 miles; St Ives 12.9 miles.

St Just is the nearest town to Land’s End and is situated approximately eight miles west of Penzance. The town itself is an ancient settlement that has a strong mining history and there are several monuments and prehistoric antiquities to visit including the Bronze Age settlement at Cape Cornwall. St Just is ideally located for visitors to explore the far west of Cornwall as it is situated on the edge of the moors and close to the beautiful north coast. In the centre of the town is Plain-an-Gwarry, a theatre used for miracle plays in medieval times, and in more recent times for the Lafrowda Festival.
