The property

Penhale Vean is a beautiful barn conversion with super country views in a rural setting, three miles from the fishing village of Porthleven.

A romantic hideaway for two, it is tucked away in a tranquil spot, next to the owner's' home and just one near neighbour.

Arranged on one level the stylish interior is contemporary and is finished to a very high standard with slate floors, vaulted ceilings and exposed timber beams.

Step inside and you will find the kitchen is well equipped with all the mod cons to conjure up a culinary delight before cuddling up on the comfy sofa and watching TV.

The double bedroom is light and airy with ample storage.

A light and spacious pristine shower room completes the inside of this wonderful holiday home.

Patio doors lead from the open plan living room onto the outside sitting area which is a perfect spot for sunshine dining or an evening tipple or why not enjoy a lazy breakfast in bed overlooking the pretty enclosed front garden.

Penhale Vean is conveniently placed near the main Falmouth/Penzance route and is perfectly located for exploring this lovely part of Cornwall.

Nearby Helston, the gateway to the Lizard Peninsula, is great for picking up everyday provisions or visiting the traditional pubs and inns.

Porthleven, a pretty fishing port on the south coast, is now a recognised foodie destination.

It is also home to several galleries, shops and coffee houses.

For delightful fishing villages, pretty coves, sandy beaches and amazing walking, visit Kynance Cove, Mullion, Coverack or Cadgwith for postcard prettiness.

Forming the northern boundary to the Lizard Peninsula is the Helford River offering a Swallows and Amazons landscape of wooded valleys and creeks with boat trips/hire available.

This cosy bolthole is ideal for a restful break in any season.

About the location

Porthleven 2 miles ; Helston 3 miles ; Penzance 10 miles.

A peaceful, rural village located in between Helston and Penzance, Breage is home to the 12th century St Breaca church – and on Tregonning Hill, the highest point in the village, are the remains of an ancient settlement. During the 19th century, Breage was an important mining centre, producing considerable amounts of tin and copper. Today, the village has a small but welcoming community, a lovely pub, playing fields and a village hall. The much-loved harbour town of Porthleven is just a short drive away, with its various waterside inns and restaurants – and the glorious stretch of golden sand at Praa Sands beach is just 3 miles along the coast.
