  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Claremont falls."

Beautiful house decorated to a high and modern standard, felt like a home away from home. Perfect quiet location, easy to get to Looe, Polperro & Fowey. We’d definitely return and can’t recommend this property enough.

  • "Lovely property."

Good facilities (kitchen and provided equipment, washing machine, TV, WiFi, etc) clean and comfortable. Nice balcony with view. No issues with garage and car port, as some previous people have commented, both of which were useful. We enjoyed the stay very much and would be delighted to return.

  • "Nice property however customer care no."

Travel 200 plus miles not a pint of milk 0or a crust of bread just a small box of fudge. Other companies ensure there is a decent welcome pack. Also prior to our holiday an e mail was circulated by Sykes Cottages stating that 12 Claremont falls had been reduced in pricedate of travel . we enquired bur given a straight no, not even a complimentary voucher for future holidays. Finally whilst travelling we kept receiving Text Messages and telephone calls advising we were not allowed to park in the car port.

Thank you for your feedback, we advised pre arrival that we offer a welcome pack of a bottle of Prosecco/Wine, milk, biscuits and cream tea items and that there is a shop at the caravan park literally next door if anything else is required, although we do often also include some fudge. We have investigated with our changeover team as to what items were provided for your arrival and they have confirmed that the usual welcome items were at the property. We needed to make sure you were aware of the carport not being available at the time and apologies if we had to contact you more than once as we were unaware that you had received the original message, and we did also arrange a much easier parking alternative for you. Regarding a reduction on other available weeks, prices can and do fluctuate regularly in the holiday market and Sykes Cottages may have applied a reduction on other weeks that still had availability, as is done in any commercial holiday business Property Owner

  • "We throughly enjoyed staying at 12 Claremont Falls."

the property itself was immaculate, very comfortable with amazing facilities. having 2 options of parking was a bonus so we brought 2 cars to accommodate our needs, no problems with parking at all dispite Reading previous reviews. The location of the property was very quiet and pleasant with lovely views from the back. a short trip to the lovely picturesque Polperro where we had a beautiful meal at the three pilchards. closest town for shopping was Looe which was only a 6 minute drive. all in all we had a lovely and very comfortable holiday and would definitely recommend staying here as we wish to return next year

  • "Holiday was ruined because of the parking arrangements our vehicle was too big for the garage and the carport the neighbours rubbish was encroaching on the carport."

We were screamed at by the neighbours that we were not wanted and to go home!

We are very sorry that you feel that your holiday was impacted by the parking. As you are no doubt aware , parking is at a premium in Cornwall and we find ourselves in a lucky position to have 2 parking places, Carport and Garage. As advised our car (4 x 4) which fits perfectly in the garage is larger than your vehicle, so still quite unsure why it failed to fit. The carport is even larger, so again slightly confused. This is the first time that this has happened and guests have been unable to park where advised. We have updated our house listing with exact measurements so all guests are aware. We have also advised that there is a lay by for parking on the main road as well as an alternative. Unfortunately, the neighbours did discuss parking with you as you weren't parked as per the instructions that were sent before your stay. We do appreciate Customer feedback and for you taking the time to send this in Property Owner

  • "Property was immaculate & very well appointed and was a wonderful base for our holiday."

There is a partial sea view from the decking area - this is ideal for taking in the sun whilst relaxing with a drink & book etc. Parking was available (carport & garage), but access was sometimes challenging due to other residents cars. There is a small shop in the Fowlers caravan site next door. This is great for any essentials that you need, since the nearest supermarkets are some distance away (Liskeard). There is a small shop in the village of Pelynt which is a 10 minute drive. The walk into Polperro is either via the coastal path or via a quiet lane. It is downhill to Polperro but steep uphill on the way back. Polperro is delightful & the pubs are highly recommended for food & local ales.

  • "A delightful spacious property with lovely views from the back of the house."

Set in an ideal location close to the beautiful village and harbour of Polperro as well as Looe, St. Austell beach and the China Clay Country Park, Liskeard and Fowey.

  • "Even though we were aware that the property has been recently refurbished, it exceeded expectations!"

Everything has been recently replaced or decorated from the kitchen to the bathroom, carpets, furniture, the lot! We enjoyed the comfort of the lounge and the tv package also has sky cinema for the evenings. Breakfast on the balcony was a lovely way to start each morning. You can see the sea just over the field The location is fantastic. The property is in a quiet close and you are about 10 mins walk to the coastal path where you can walk to polperro (about 40 mins) or Talland Bay (about 15mins). The coast path is stunning. We saw Seals but several people mentioned seeing a pod of about 15 dolphins in Talland Bay the day before. It’s also just off the main road to Polperro, meaning you can quickly get on the main road in the morning and visit places further afield if you wish. We’d also recommend the pub at the caravan park a few minutes walk away and it’s worth mentioning that they do food and takeaway service too. Some take aways in Looe also deliver for a small delivery fee. There are designated spaces for parking of the carport or garage and while both can be squeeze (especially if there are other cars in the close) it is no hardship to park around the corner 50-100 yards away
