  • "This is the third time that we have stayed in HoneyBee cottage."

We enjoyed the experience immensely. The cottage was ultra clean, the four poster bed was extremely comfortable and it was just nice to be able to chill out after our daily excursions. The owners were again extremely very helpful and always around to answer any questions that we had. The garden was a good size for Barney and the exercise field was great.

Clean comfortable accommodation with everything needed for a great self catering holiday Dog friendly with large secure field to let them off the lead. Goats, Alpacas and abundant wildlife to enjoy. Located within easy reach of the North Devon and Cornish coast Highly recommended.

  • "Very nice rural setting located by driving long single track roads with bumps."

Not everyone’s cup of tea but we are used to that . Lovely cottage only one drawback was the poor water pressure so baths not showers . Fabulous situation near Bude and other resorts and attractions. We didn’t do walks from the cottage because of narrow roads but plenty of places to go to walk .Fenced Field for dog excercise excellent ?(also nice little garden for this cottage.

The new owners Paul & Sian were very friendly and we will definitely visit again.

The property

Tucked away in a rural location on a smallholding on the outskirts of the village of Bradworthy rests the single-storey converted granary, Honey Bee Cottage.

Overlooking the picturesque Upper Tamar Lake, this cosy countryside retreat makes for a romantic base to explore the delights of the Devonshire country and coastline.

Stepping into this delightful bolthole, you're welcomed into an open-plan living space, beautifully-appointed with a rustic interior, boasting exposed wooden beams and original stonework, retaining the character and charm of the former farm building.

After an action-packed day, settle in on the sofa and put your feet up in front of the television, enveloping the sociable space with the warmth of the charming electric woodburner before heading through to the country-style rustic wooden kitchen to prepare an intimate meal for two to enjoy at the dining table.

Step outside and take a seat on the patio as your furry friends stretch their legs to watch the breath-taking sunset over the horizon in the distance, toasting a glass of fizz to an unforgettable holiday with your significant other.

At the end of a busy day, retire to the fabulous king-size room, set with an antique four poster bed and decorated with wooden beams and exposed stonework, providing a snug and homely setting to rest your head, and benefiting from its own en-suite bathroom for your convenience.

Prepare for a new day with an invigorating cup of coffee and a sociable seat in the shared gardens, or clock up your steps with a peaceful stroll around the neighbouring farmland, where you can meet rare breeds of alpacas and newborn lambs.

Take a break from doing the cooking and head into the center of Bradworthy, home to a traditional 16th-century pub set in a coaching inn, offering a fine selection of real ales and serving delicious dishes cooked with locally sourced produce, or head to the local family-run butchers to pick up some fresh meats to prepare in the comfort of your holiday home.

Spend a fun-filled day at the Blue Flag award-winning beach, Widemouth Bay, stretching two miles of magnificent golden sand, where you can enjoy a revitalizing dip in the open waters, or thrill-seekers can tackle the waves with an exciting lesson in surfing.

If you'd prefer to stay on land, enjoy the three-mile stroll North along the rugged cliff edges of the South West Coast Path to the popular seaside town of Bude, home to an exciting selection of shops and eateries to suit all tastes.

Other attractions worth visiting include the towering Hedge Maze and the The Milky Way Adventure Park on the outskirts of Bideford, the 18th Century country house of Hartland Abbey and the National Trust's Finch Foundry, homing a historic water-powered forge.
