  • "Arrived at property and everything was just has we had remembered it, we don’t usually go anywhere a second time as like to explore new places but we were not disappointed absolutely fabulous second time round."

The furnishings are of a very high standard and apartment was spotless. Weather wasn’t kind to us but it was wonderful to come back to a warm cosy apartment each day. I would definitely highly recommend and would definitely book accommodation again. Village is so quaint and peaceful. Thank you for such wonderful accommodation.

  • "A lovely well kept property, nice and warm, clean, quiet and well equipped."

The owners were very helpful and we enjoyed the cream tea welcome! We were very happy staying there and will definitely consider staying there again next time we are in the area. One very small point was that we found the shower base somewhat slippery and it would benefit from a non-slip shower mat.

25 which we found very easily and which was very comfortable and well-equipped. Great to be beside the railway - we visited a number of places without using the car. Very useful to have the Co-op close at hand - as well as the fish and chip shop!

  • "The property was excellent, and in a really good position close to the town and railway station, so days out on the train instead of driving was very nice."

It was spotlessly clean and had just about every thing you need during your stay. The welcoming pack of coffee, and cream tea was much appreciated thank you. Would visit again during the warmer summer months. John

  • "No 25 is not huge."

However, it’s perfectly formed with modern furnishings and well equipped for a comfortable holiday. I feel the addition of a rug in front of the sofa and chair, also a small coffee table would be great. It’s a personal observation though. There is storage for coats and luggage and the large windows make the apartment light and welcoming. Parking is excellent and No 25 is well situated for shops, cafes and pubs. Also the station. We enjoyed our week very much despite the weather but it’s January and England. The apartment was quiet and no problems with the trains passing through. On arrival there was an excellent cream tea which was very enjoyable. Not long after we arrived Rebecca knocked on the door and gave Michael a bottle of Prosecco for his birthday. Thank you. It was so kind and the birthday celebration at the nearby Globe Pub was excellent. If you are looking for a light, bright modern apartment then you won’t go wrong with No 25.

Co-op open until late and just over the bridge. Easy walk to nice pubs, takeaways and a fantastic restaurant. Quiet, despite being so close to railway station. The apartment was very clean, lovely treat left in the fridge. Facilities very good.

  • "Great location staying in not only a historic part of the town, but a historic building."

though it was lovely and quite & peaceful. Apartment was exceptionally clean and very well stocked with everything you needed for a self catering stay, credit to the owners. Only issue we had, (which we appreciated was outside control of the owners) was the street lighting right outside bedroom which shone through the sides of the blinds (so would recommend if you are a light sleeper take an eye mask) and shower was a little snug. Ideal location for visiting the sights in this part of Cornwall, such as Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Fowey etc.. . Also train station within a minute walk so ideal if you want to leave the car behind. Recommend a visit to Restormel Castle and the Duchy of Cornwall Garden and Gift Centre for lunch, which are both just over a mile away + the beautiful village of Altarun and it's church, St Nonna's

  • "The apartment was as in all Sykes properties spotlessly clean and very well equipped."

Sadly it was very dark and the windows could only be opened about an inch. I needed the lights on to cook and read. It would have helped if there had been somewhere outside to sit as the weather was glorious. I found it so claustrophobic I left on Thursday instead of Saturday.

  • "The only comment we have is that the shower could be larger."

Neither of us are of a heavy build but the shower was tight. In addition the windows couldn’t be left open as the apartment is on the ground floor and there is no lock mechanism to stop the windows opening wide. However there was a Dyson cooling fan to compensate for this.

Thank you very much for your positive feedback. There is a mechanism built into the windows to prevent them opening wide, we will ensure that we leave instructions on how to use it in future. Thanks again. Property Owner

An amazing stay awaits at Number 25.

A delightfully peaceful country town, nestling in the Fowey river valley amid the woods and fields that characterise the area. Renowned as a centre for the antiques trade, there are several shops and dealers in the town, as well as a fine collection of country pubs, restaurants and a thriving farmer’s market. Lanhydrock House (NT) and gardens is just 3 miles away, while the fabulous Boconnoc House, Eden Project, shipwreck museum and tall ships harbour at Charlestown, and the picturesque fishing villages of Mevagissey, Fowey and Padstow, with the famous Rick Stein restaurants, are all within easy driving distance. The tumbling Atlantic surf, long sandy beaches and dramatic coastline of the north coast, including at the renowned Newquay, make for great days out and there is also chance to enjoy river canoeing, biking, hiking and leisurely walks in this lovely area. The friendly locals also have ongoing activities, such as the raft race, the famous tug of war, Carnival week and seagull outboard motor races. The river Fowey runs from the town on its 8 mile journey through the fields and wooded valleys to the gentler southern coast, a natural paradise for those who love the sea.
