For the more active a heated outdoor swimming pool with sunbathing area and all weather tennis court are both available free of charge. With a spacious play area for the children and tranquil woodland walks for dog owners, there really is something for everybody here. Evenings can be spent in the old communal courtyard, sat around the firepit or in the cosy cellar bar which opens at times to suit you! There are three bedrooms here, a bunk bedroom on the ground floor with a double and a twin on the first floor offering lots of options.
The bathroom offers a double-size bath, an ideal treat after a long day.
Apart from the courtyard immediately outside, five acres of grounds are yours to explore with a shared BBQ and picnic area making Poacher an excellent choice for a holiday or short break whatever time of year.

About the location
Holsworthy 5.5 miles; Bude 6 miles; Widemouth Bay 6.5 miles; Tintagel 21.3 miles.
This delightful village is situated across the River Tamar and offers a pub which serves real ales and a children’s play area. This is a fantastic base for exploring the surrounding area with some lovely walking and cycling opportunities. Nearby Holsworthy has much to offer, including a swimming pool, tennis court and splendid park with bowling green. The town centre boasts a varied selection of traditional shops, pubs and cafés, based around the market square. Further afield is the popular coastal town of Bude which has something for everyone; great beaches for relaxing, and building sandcastles on, rockpools for investigating at low tide and cafes to watch it all from. For days out, take the coast road north to see the lonely lighthouse above the sea at Hartland Point or walk or ride a donkey down the steep and cobbled village street (no cars allowed) of beautiful Clovelly to the harbour and the pub far below. Follow the coast in the other direction and there's the little cove of Crackington Haven, Boscastle, King Arthur's castle at Tintagel, Doc Martin's Port Wenn at Port Isaac and yet more great surfing beaches at Polzeath.
