  • "We had a wonderful holiday, I have already informed the owner of these The white toaster in the cupboard does not work The double bed needs replacing, we had to move it away from the wall as every time you moved it bang on the wall, the mattress has springs coming through it."

Also, the beds in the middle bedroom are squeaky. We could not use the hoover as the hose is no longer attached. Where the non-slip stickers have been put in the bath, these have made the bath more slippery also the shower could do with moving to one end or the other. The toilet in the shower room does not flush properly (takes too long to refill) You need to contact housekeeping as one of the pillowcases was full of holes and the hand towel was thread bare These are just things we found, They did not retract from the holiday, we had a wonderful time

We were very disappointed that you decided to make these comments public, particularly as you and I had exchanged emails on the subjects raised shortly after your visit and we have been unable to verify some of your complaints. We always look to provide the best possible experience for guests and we regret that your review gives a false impression of our property. Although not all our guests choose to make their reviews public, feedback is usually very positive with guests appreciating it for being clean, spacious, quiet and well located. We are always looking for ways to improve and make it a home away from home. Having investigated your complaints we found: - Housekeeping tried to reach you to offer extra towels midway through your visit, you did not respond and at no point did you call housekeeping to raise concerns despite being provided with the number in your booking information and our mobile numbers for any queries. - Housekeeping disagreed that any of the linen provided had holes or was threadbare so if you did take photos please do send them through to me by email. - The mattress for the double bed has been checked thoroughly and there are no springs coming through – I was there in May and found the double bed very comfortable, we had family friends as guests immediately after your stay who checked everything thoroughly and confirmed there was no issue so we are unsure how you had this impression. With regards to one of the single beds squeaking, the toilet not refilling fast enough and aesthetic comments about where the shower is placed, as I said we try very hard to ensure it is a home away from home – a quick call to housekeeping would have meant someone could have come around and tightened up the bed, explained the water system and noted your comments about shower placement. We always encourage guests to call housekeeping immediately if there is something that needs rectifying. Thank you for bringing to our attention the: - White toaster – the large black 4 slot toaster on the counter is new this spring for guest use and we intended to remove the white toaster from the cupboard on our last visit, it has now been removed. - Bath stickers – these are in place for safety and we will of course replace them when necessary. - Hoover: a replacement hose has been fitted to the hoover. In summary we always welcome feedback from our guests and I would like to reiterate guests are encouraged to use the housekeeping number provided to ensure we have the opportunity to rectify any real issues during their stay. We have addressed the minor issues raised that needed attention ready for our next guests. Property Owner
