  • "Lovely apartment with every thing you could wish for."

Kitchen had everything you could think of, sofa and chairs in living room really comfy. If you have children they will not be bored as there are lots of toys and games. Plenty of books too. In a lovely position ( did get woken on the Saturday night due to people talking loudly on the street but to be expected situated where it is). Lovely shops, pubs, eateries nearby ( all walking distance). Summerleaze Beach ( with car park) just a few minutes walk as is the canal which is beautiful. Beds not very comfortable - mattresses very soft. No instructions for where the waste should go ( bins downstairs were locked with a padlock so guess they were for nearby properties) contacted the caretaker/owner who told us we could leave in the apartment or leave downstairs which was not ideal so think this should be looked into - most people like to recycle too so really think this is something to look at. Overall a lovely stay in a really lovely place.

    Can't wait to book again.

  • "We enjoyed a really lovely stay at Sea Horizon View."

The property has everything you need for a stay away, and in a great location. The beds were really comfy, and loved all the books, dvd's, toys and games there - plenty to keep everyone entertained. You can park on the street outside between 6pm and 9am, and only for an hour after that, but the nearby carparks are affordable. We paid £7.40 for 24hrs in the Summerleaze carpark and you can come and go in this time with no additional payments, which we thought was really good. The only things I would say about the property is that 1. THere is no way to turn on the outside lights when you are going down the steps, and you definitely need to be able to see where you're going, and 2. There really needs to be blinds put up on the kitchen and the bathroom windows - especially the bathroom as you are overlooked. I ended up putting a towel up over the bathroom window, just to feel comfortable. Apart from that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again - thank you

  • "Great location, although on a Friday & Saturday night you are constantly woken up by (drunk!"

) people walking by, shouting in the early hours. Apartment was very spacious & great facilities. The main double bed was very soft, and noisy! V nice stay all in all! Thank you

  • "The property was well equipped for our stay."

Unfortunately we found the mattresses really uncomfortable on all of the beds and the lack of a blind at the kitchen and bathroom windows means that you are overseen in the evenings by the flats and police station behind. I don’t think the carpet in the living room had been hoovered before we arrived as there was a lot of hair on it! Parking and lack of a permit should have been made more clear on the advert. One review referred to a permit being left for guest use. We paid to park in Summerleaze for the week and left beach equipment in the boot, so were ok, but this was an additional cost and may not be suitable for other guests. I thought this cottage overpriced by approx £250 for the week.

  • "Lovely apartment in a great location."

The only suggestion is that the exterior and hallway could do with freshening up as it is a big contrast to the rest of the property. We were also a little alarmed on arrival as we were focused on looking for 2A rather than Sea Horizon View (2B was marked in big white characters on the external door). Maybe it was our foggy brains after a long drive that meant we weren't quick enough to realise!

  • "We enjoyed our stay and found the apartment comfortable and conveniently located in the centre of Bude."

It was a little let down by the entrance and stairway for access, which was shabby and needs to be renovated, but the accommodation itself is fine, with a spacious lounge and comfortable bedrooms.

  • "The apartment itself is well presented and we very much enjoyed our stay."

.. would just say that the shared entrance and stairs are rather shabby/scruffy and could do with some tlc

Thank you for your feedback, we're pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay. The shared entrance is under the control of the management company, but we are currently liaising over this matter and hope for a speedy resolution. Property Owner

  • "Very nice place perfectly situated for shops, beach and all amenities."

We had not realised 2 flights of stairs but my hubby on crutches managed them. Nice quality beds, bedding and everything we needed.

  • "Great location and very good quality apartment."

Excellent kitchen appliances, beds and big television (not that we watched it much). Two very minor issues: 1. The lounge lampshades let out very little light making it difficult to read after dark and 2. The shared entrance lobby has some broken plaster and the carpet is a bit dank. Obviously beyond the owner's sole control but would be good to address this.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback and positive comments. We will look at the lighting and replace if necessary, unfortunately the shared entrance is under the control of the management company, but we are currently liaising over this matter. Property Owner

  • "A comfortable and roomy flat, very light and bright."

Clean and welcoming on opening the door. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, more than enough glassware and crockery. It would have been nice to have had cushions for the lounge furniture, but I presume that this is more difficult at the moment with the extra cleaning/washing that would be needed. Some instructions about refuse/ recycling would have been useful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, even with the somewhat changeable weather, and would certainly recommend Sea Horizon View.

  • "The apartment was well equipped with everything we needed and in a great location for exploring the coast."

The stairs to the apartment are very steep so not ideal for children or people with limited mobility.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We do appreciate that there are two flights of stairs to access the apartment - but once there you have a fantastic view! Property Owner

  • "The apartment was superb, very well equipped and clean, just as described in the listing, the location was great."

Close to the beach and shops. Only disadvantage to us were the number of stairs as my husbands not as able as he once was. Also car parking - on street parking outside 1 hour limit, but in the apartment info book were directions to free on street parking a short distance away - therefore parking was no problem. Would certainly recommend

  • "We had a lovely week at this apartment."

It was spotlessly clean and bright and very spacious. It was well equipped and had everything needed for a self catering holiday. The location is fantastic for easy access to the beach. Would recommend if you want to be in the centre of town.

  • "We found the apartment much more homely than we had expected - and so well equipped."

It’s also got a wonderful view of the little town square, which is great for watching the world go by after a long day on the beach. We loved the paintings and photos of local beach scenes on the walls. The beds were also super comfortable with lovely linen. Thanks for a great stay!

About the location

BUDE

Tintagel 17 miles.

Bude is a fabulous coastal town that once visited you will want to come back to time and time again. Bude has something for everyone, great beaches for relaxing, and building sandcastles on, rockpools for investigating at low tide and cafes to watch it all from. The rolling waves are great for surfing all year round, and the footpaths by the restored canal or on the North Cornwall coastal path offer you a superb opportunity to explore and appreciate the outstanding countryside. Bude also has a superb golf course, indoor swimming pool, bowling alley/indoor play area and Heritage Centre at Bude Castle. It also has a good selection of local shops, supermarkets, cafes, pubs, restaurants and excellent Information Centre. Within a short drive are the remains of a huge iron age hill fort at Warbstow Bury, from where panoramic views can be seen. For days out, take the coast road north to see the lonely lighthouse above the sea at Hartland Point or walk or ride a donkey down the steep and cobbled village street (no cars allowed) of beautiful Clovelly to the harbour and the pub far below. Follow the coast in the other direction and there's the little cove of Crackington Haven, Boscastle, King Arthur's castle at Tintagel, Doc Martin's Port Wenn at Port Isaac and yet more great surfing beaches at Polzeath.
