  • "Great location for walking and the house was a pleasure to stay in."

The added bonus of Netflix and the extras the owners left for us was much appreciated. As with all our other stays using Sykes Cottages, we send a big thank you to all the helpful and friendly staff

G cushions so cottages are not quite as comfortable as usual. It would also be very useful to provide more detail oo the deep cleaning process in the property so that incoming guests know exactly what has been included. For instance whether the duvets been isolated for 72 hours between let's or whether all crockery & pots have been washed in the diswasher between lets. This would help guests access the level of risk on arrival and help them decide what mitigation they need to apply.

    Would definitely stay again.

  • "The house was lovely just a shame due to covid that the toys, teepee cushions etc had to be removed as that would have just been the icing on the cake as the kids were disappointed by no teepee but they got over it."

We even had some lovely biscuits milk and prosecco on arrival just what we needed after a 7 hour trip.

  • "This was our second week at Berries Avenue, having had a week there with family in July."

It is clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, has all the equipment one needs, a nice garden to sit out in and have a bbq and is in a quiet location. It is so convenient to have off-road parking and you can walk to the beach and the town quite easily. Local buses take you to nearby coastal villages (it is only a 10 mile walk back from Crackington Haven along the coast - "a bit steep in places" says the 74 year old!) We will be back again in the New Year!

  • "The house was lovely, very spacious."

The only drawbacks for us was the very tight squeeze to park 2 cars in the drive & the creaky floorboards throughout the whole house!! It was situated very close to the canal path & only took 5-10 mins to get anywhere in town.

  • "27 Berries Avenue was a beautifully presented, spotlessly clean house which was perfect for families with children."

The playroom was so good for small children & we weren't constantly having to tell them to tidy up as all the toys were kept in the room! We made full use of the outdoor space & BBQ & can't fault the house on any level. We would highly recommend this property.

The property looked well maintained. The house itself is in a perfect location which is within a 10 minute walk of the town. 27 berries avenue is an ideal place to stay for anyone wanting to enjoy this part of cornwall. All in all i was very impressed as soon as we walked through the door, we was greeted to a note wishing us a good time with treats, and the local residents thought highly of the couple who owned the house. We was ready to enjoy our time in bude. I would highly recommend this holiday home to anyone!

About the location

BUDE

Tintagel 17 miles.

Bude is a fabulous coastal town that once visited you will want to come back to time and time again. Bude has something for everyone, great beaches for relaxing, and building sandcastles on, rockpools for investigating at low tide and cafes to watch it all from. The rolling waves are great for surfing all year round, and the footpaths by the restored canal or on the North Cornwall coastal path offer you a superb opportunity to explore and appreciate the outstanding countryside. Bude also has a superb golf course, indoor swimming pool, bowling alley/indoor play area and Heritage Centre at Bude Castle. It also has a good selection of local shops, supermarkets, cafes, pubs, restaurants and excellent Information Centre. Within a short drive are the remains of a huge iron age hill fort at Warbstow Bury, from where panoramic views can be seen. For days out, take the coast road north to see the lonely lighthouse above the sea at Hartland Point or walk or ride a donkey down the steep and cobbled village street (no cars allowed) of beautiful Clovelly to the harbour and the pub far below. Follow the coast in the other direction and there's the little cove of Crackington Haven, Boscastle, King Arthur's castle at Tintagel, Doc Martin's Port Wenn at Port Isaac and yet more great surfing beaches at Polzeath.
