  • "This is the second time we have stayed at this property and had a lovely surprise now the bedrooms have been swapped, so much better."

Would be good if a socket was near the dressing table in the main bedroom. Sykes need to update photos.now. Otherwise all was fine (could do with a couple of wine glasses adding, but nothing major. Warm, clean and tidy… and just fantastic views from lounge and kitchen… we shall return AGAIN

  • "We had a wonderful time at 7 Atlantic Close."

It is in the most amazing location so near the beach. We booked the first two weeks in October deliberately so we could take the dog on the beach every day (prohibited during the summer season). The cafe at the beach was very good for breakfasts and the Widemouth Bay Manor was a great place for evening meals/carvery. We enjoyed days out to lots of places within easy travelling distance eg Bude, Boscastle, Padstow, Crackington Haven. The bungalow has a well equipped kitchen (didn't use the washing machine or dishwasher). If we were going to be a bit picky the mattress on the double bed is quite uncomfortable and a smart TV would be good - we had a bit of trouble with signal on the TV and resorted to watching some programs on the laptop and Kindle Fire. That being said we would definitely recommend this property and will definitely book again.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at 7 Atlantic Close."

We know the area very well and it is a terrific location to just sit back and relax, with the beach only a few minutes walk away. The view from the decking is amazing - we will definitely be back. The bungalow itself is a little old fashioned in some areas but I'm sure will be updated along the way. The beds in the twin room were adequate for us but a larger person may have struggled in them, I guess they are really meant for children. The wardrobe in the twin room smells a little musty so we all used the wardrobe in the double room. The email we received from Sykes advised that the key box was in a red box on the garage wall. After several attempts to open this we turned to go back up the steps and noticed the key press on the front door frame, perhaps Sykes need to update their email re this. I know it sounds as if we are having a moan but it is really only meant as advice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again for our annual Cornwall break. Many thanks

  • "The carpet was covered in dog hairs."

Stains on lounge carpet . Hard bed in double room , and room very very small. A smelly stained sofa bed in the other bed room . No hose on garden tap. The location is good , but the place is also very dated for the money.

  • "Bedding and towels were not changed during the 2 week stay."

Garden was overgrown. Double bed mattress is uncomfortable. Windows need cleaning inside and out. Black mould in shower needs sorting. No oven glove. Contact number needs to be updated. Outside tap needs hose, as currently it just runs down the wall and will lead to water damage over time.

Property was clean but could have done with the windows cleaning as they were very grimy also there was no access to the back garden without going through the side door down steps and through a gate so was difficult to let the dog out she had to have someone to take her out everytime as the front was open the views were stunning but a really quiet holiday as there was not a lot to do apart from walk but still we did enjoy the quiet

  • "Lovely quiet location with great view but very dated property."

Double bed extremely uncomfortable. Garden not accessible straight from house so not ideal for dogs. Initial instructions on retrieving key had not been updated so we spent ages trying and after a long journey this is not ideal. Great comfy sofa and chairs in lounge. An outside tap has now been fitted but a hosepipe in the garden would make life much easier to wash off wetsuits sand dogs etc. As requested in the visitor handbook, ideas for improvement would be 1. New mattress for double bed 2. Hosepipe in garden 3. Update decor 4. Steps down from balcony to garden.

  • "We had a wonderful time walking the Southwest coast path so Atlantic Close was a fabulous location."

The bus service is also extremely helpful in the area meaning that we could get a bus and then walk back home or to where we left the car. With the beach so close it was lovely too. The property was perfectly adequate for our needs, lounge comfortable and spacious, with a view of the sea and a nice bit of decking for the evening sun. The kitchen had everything we needed although a set of matching wine glasses would be a useful addition especially if there were 4 adults. The toaster needs replacing. Bathroom fine with a very good size shower. However the double bedroom was very small and the bed was not comfortable. Fortunately we could store our empty case and a few other bits in the second bedroom but if we had been sharing with others (as we had originally planned) it would have been quite cramped. Thanks for a nice time, it's a very pleasant place good location just perhaps needs a bit of thought on using the space better.

  • "Absolutely great location."

The beach is literally just over the road. The bungalow is clean and tidy, a little dated and could do with updating but it' has everything needed (although we did buy some tumbler glasses) and could do with some sharp knives. Dishwasher and washing machine a bonus Great views from kitchen and lounge. Would recommend to anyone who loves the beach, it's on the doorstep and it's lovely quiet location

Clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Had us feeling a trifle envious of those who live in the area. Oh, and the dog loved it, too.

  • "The location of the property is fantastic."

It’s only a 3 minute stroll to the beach. In good weather, we managed to sit on the decking at the back to have a meal and enjoy the view of the sea. There were some amazing sunset views by the beach. The Beach House and it’s restaurant is only a 5 minute walk away and they serve delicious food. There is off road parking which is convenient. Facilities are excellent. Bude is only a short drive away. This is a place we would choose to return to. Things that would make it better are 1. A cafetière 2. A water hose at the back to rinse off sandy kit from the beach. 3. Storage for clothes in the master bedroom.

Thank you for your very kind review. Rest assured there will be a cafeteria, hosepipe and wardrobe installed over the winter. Many thanks Property Owner

  • "The location is good being near beach and overlooking sea from kitchen and balcony."

Needs to be updated as appears like an old persons bungalow. The bedrooms not up to standard and the beds need replacing, especially double bed. No wardrobe or clothes hanging facilities in double room. Bed linen was worn and double duvet cover fastenings broken. kitchen is well equipped and bathroom up to standard. We all had aching backs after sleeps during our stay. This did spoil the holiday and would seriously question if we would return unless these problems were sorted out. Considering it was our first experience staying there, it was expensive for what was on offer!

Hi Keith, thanks for your feedback. I’m really sorry you didn’t get value for money. Beds are very subjective but I will be be speaking to our laundry company. This is our first foray into renting our bungalow and will try to address the issues in the future. Property Owner
