    “Ideal”

    stayed here for a couple of nights with my husband and young son and it was just what we needed. Lovely cottage, very clean and well presented, a lovely treat to have an open fire as well. Will deffinantly be back.

The property

Tucked behind a quiet lane in the heart of the Olde market town of Camelford, only a short drive to the nearest beaches, Holly Cottage is a charming, semi-detached holiday home, which allows you to enjoy all the delights of Bodmin Moor and the North Cornwall coast.

Whether you’re a couple, small family or just sharing a holiday with friends, enjoy a superb break at Holly Cottage in this lovely part of Cornwall, just paces from the local amenities and a car journey away from many enviable attractions of the area, including our beautiful award-winning beaches.

Bursting with character, Holly Cottage with its vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, latched doors and glass fronted Log burner all go hand in hand to give you that ultimate Cottage experience.

Head up the three steps and straight into the sitting room from the front entrance and use this bright and airy space to fully relax in front of the 4k ultra HD TV with its wood beams, wooden flooring and log burner.

The log burner, centred in a stone and granite fire place, will add a focal point and that ultimate warmth to cosy up to.

Adjoining is the well-equipped galley style kitchen with its contemporary style splash backs, complemented by wood beams for the perfect dining in during your stay.

Upstairs are two bedrooms, a double and a single, with wooden vaulted ceilings, each with wall mounted TV’s and plenty of storage, served by the well-appointed family bathroom.

On a warm day, you can use the fold away chairs provided to sit out with a refreshing glass of local Cornish cyder, a glass of wine, or why not try one of the local gins alfresco in the south facing walkway enjoying the sun.

Head into town or to one of the surrounding hamlets or villages such as Boscastle with its picturesque harbour, or Tintagel with its famous castle, which all have pubs and restaurants overlooking the sea which are but a 5 minute drive away.

Explore the southwest coast path littered with charming, picturesque coastal towns such as Port Isaac, Port Gaverne and Padstow with its Famous Rick Stein’s sea food Restaurant.

The many beaches in the area also offer lovely family days out with rock pooling, sand castle building, surfing coasteering and kayaking.

You can head to Roughtor which makes a fantastic viewing point and is close to the famous Jamaica Inn and find the Camel Trail offers wonderful opportunities for cycling along the River Camel.

Holly Cottage is a superb base for a beautiful escape to Cornwall with your loved ones.

The old market town of Camelford is located close to Cornwall's north coast and is ideally situated for exploring the wild country of Bodmin Moor and the high cliffs, hidden coves, fishing villages and surfing beaches that populate this beautiful area. The southwest coastal path is a year round attraction and the surrounding villages and hamlets harbour a wealth of country inns and restaurants. The nearest beach to Camelford is Trebarwith Strand which offers both surf for the more adventurous and safe rock pools for the younger members! Truly wonderful and only around five miles away, it is perfect for a day by the sea and is also dog friendly. Nearby Wadebridge has a vibrant shopping centre and the Camel Trail, while Padstow, Rock, Polzeath, Port Isaac, where Doc Martin is filmed and Tintagel can all be reached in less than 30 minutes. A superb location all year round.
