  • "My family had a wonderful holiday stay there."

It is a nice property with spacious living room, astonishing sunrise viewing from the balcony, Tesco superstore is just 5 minutes away. Good location to explore both Carbis Bay and St Ives. Highly recommended for families.

Thank you ever so much for your wonderful feedback! We are delighted you had such a good time at H2oh! and hope to welcome you back to the area. Kind regards, The Carbis Bay Holidays Team Property Owner

  • "This was our fourth visit to H2Oh!"

having booked early after our previous return in 2021. The property is in a great location with fantastic views along the north coast of Cornwall. We were expecting some major improvement to justify the hike in price but there was none. The veranda sliding doors are difficult to engage initially and the television, as always, is not straight forward for the less technically minded. We paid a huge inflation busting price for being loyal this year and watched as the price for the week AFTER our visit was lower than what we paid. Even next year's price is a few hundred pounds less than what we paid this year!.. Overall H2Oh! is a beautiful holiday home and one where we would normally return to again and again however we have learnt our lesson regarding early bookings for any future holiday.

Dear Colin, Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us your feedback as it is very important to us! We are pleased to see that you have had another good stay at H2oh! as you have rated your stay with four out of five points. Please be assured that we are constantly reviewing the pricing of our properties by responding to fluctuating customer demand. As response to this we are constantly adjusting prices throughout the year. Please note that some popular properties get booked up very quickly and booking early therefore secures customers their preferred property for their very special holiday. We thank you again for you feedback and hope to get the opportunity to welcome you back again in the future. Kind regards, The Carbis Bay Holidays Team. Property Owner

  • "Beautiful place to stay."

Great location. Well equipped and very comfortable. The tumble dryer didn’t work well & the hot water needed to be on for longer with 5 people staying.

Thank you for your kind review and we are glad you found the house comfortable. We welcome your feed back and will ask our housekeeper to adjust the water settings but we hope you saw our instructions on how to boost the water for an hour if needed? Due to space we have a washer/dyer (never quite as good as a dryer on its own) but the answer is just to up the temperature and/or leave it on for longer Thank you again Kind regards Carla and Mike (Owners) Car Property Owner

  • "We have stayed in Carbis Bay several times this is the first visit to H2oh!"

But we would definitely return. The house was well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The accomodation was spacious and well presented. The only criticism would be that the sofa was a little worn in places but otherwise comfortable. The views from the property were stunning. We also weren’t aware that the property was a shared driveway with a neighbouring property but fortunately as we only had 1 car didn’t cause us any issues. Overall had a lovely weeks’ stay and would definitely return

Thank you so much for your lovely comments and we hope you had a great time! Please be advised the sofa is being repaired early May. The parking for H2Oh! is suitable for 2 large cars (3 medium) and the spaces are directly in front of H2Oh! for your convenience. We will ensure the parking diagram is visible for all to see. We look forward to welcoming you back. Kind regards Carla and Mike Shelton - Owners Property Owner

  • "Beautiful house, brilliant facilities apart from a few missing items such as the teapot which I’m guessing had previously been broken and not replaced."

The house felt very lived in and needs a bit of TLC, Cracking on the back of the sofa, lots of mould in the bathrooms, around the door in the master bedroom and in the porch area. The front door allowed water in when it was raining. Lightbulbs had blown and hadn’t been replaced small things that make such a big difference. These are just a few problems I can think of off the top of my head. If all the small things get addressed it’s the most perfect property for a holiday down in Carbis bay. Having spent many holidays down in Carbis bay using Carbis bay holidays this house felt slightly different to the rest, not quite up to the usually high Carbis bay Standard.

Dear Mr Keat, Thank you for your valued feedback and taking the time to let us know. The owner is aware that after the property being fully booked since the 30th April time was needed to deep clean the property (which normally requires the property being blocked out for 48/72 hours). We can confirm that the mould in the bathrooms was the result of the extractor fans being turned off by previous guests and therefore the bathroom was not getting the necessary ventilation. This has now been through a deep clean to remove it. The bulbs have been replaced and a professional upholstery team have been asked to attend to the leather sofa and the carpets/rugs. The front porch will also be cleaned and repainted as well as the front porch ledge has been repaired from where a guest has knocked into it and damaged it. There is a tea pot located in the top cupboard to the left hand of the cooker, apologies if you could not locate this on your visit. Kind regards, Carbis Bay Holidays Property Owner

  • "Beautiful house, warm and comfortable, stunning views, every bit as well-equipped as described."

We really appreciated the care taken in preparing the house for our arrival and the many welcoming touches, such as flowers, milk and wine. On the down side, traffic noise from the adjacent main road was more intrusive than we had realised it would be, and there was also noise from the building work on the bungalow next door. Outside space is very limited, and the floors really are as creaky and noisy as mentioned in other reviews!

  • "We deferred our holiday from last year due to Covid and really enjoyed our week-it’s a fantastic location and really is only a 5 minute walk to the beach (and 10 back uphill!"

). The owners have included lots of extras, which made life easier such as wetsuits and washing airers for example. However, we were disappointed to find that the price has increased substantially by over £1,200 and so unfortunately we won’t be back again. To pay this we feel the property would need to be spot on with everything but it isn’t without issues for example: ground floor floorboards are extremely noisy (not just the odd creak!) and meant sleep was often disturbed, general finishes look worn in places-entrance lobby in particular has paint peeling and there is some mould on the sealant, grout and ceiling in the bathrooms, the house was advertised as having a drive to accommodate two cars (including a photo) we were disappointed to see a neighbouring holiday let within a few feet of ours which also had to share the drive (if my parents had been staying with us it would have been extremely difficult to get on and off) and there was no space for a BBQ there as included in the description-something we feel is misleading. Generally the property was clean but could do with a deep clean in some areas including the dining table which had grooves full of crumbs and sand, skirtings not wiped down and some debris in kitchen cupboards and bedroom drawers. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but can’t justify paying the new increased price.

Dear Daniel, Thank you so much for your feedback and taking the time to reply to us. The prices have been set due to the high demand for holidays down in Cornwall following lockdown. The prices have also been increased as we have experienced an increase in price for labour due to the staff shortage we are having at the moment in the local area. However, we will let the owner know of your feedback and the prices are constantly changing so do keep an eye out in case these drop down. The property is due to have a comprehensive check at the end of the season to address maintenance aspects such as the worn finishes, paintwork and also a deep clean. Due to the high demand for holidays the property has been booked back to back since April which makes it difficult to tackle issues which need longer time to rectify than the 6 hour changeover window. We will also have a look into the description for the BBQ to make sure this is as accurate as possible. We hope that you had good quality time with your family which, I’m sure is well deserved after a long period of lockdown and restrictions. The owners are very happy that you enjoyed the property, the little extras included for your stay and its location. Kind regards, The Carbis Bay Holidays Team Property Owner

, I don't think we wanted for anything, the welcome refreshments were great as well, booking procedure, arrival/departure, information in the house, no issues with anything. As I wrote in the guest book, it didn't take us long to start saying “when we get home” where home meant H2HO rather than our own homes! It was a shame I had to go back to work on the Monday. We wouldn't have any hesitation recommending this property to anyone.” A.Woods

We thought H2oh! was a really great house to stay in and would definitely stay there again. It had everything we needed. This year we didn’t do much travelling as the weather was lovely ,so just stayed on Carbis beach and St Ives beaches. We hired a beach hut on Carbis beach for £50 for the full week which we thought was really good value for money.Saves carting everything back up the steep paths to the house! We went out for tea a few times. Porthminster beach cafe where we have been to a few times before. Was really nice. Blas burger where we all had a different kind of burger. They were fantastic and for our special meal out we went to The Loft in St Ives which was amazing and really good value for money. We also ate at the Shack on Carbis beach which was really nice. The Shack is a great addition to the beach and also with the live entertainment at night." S. Richardson

was as comfortable and as enjoyable as ever. This was our fourth visit to the property, and it has become almost a home away from home for us. The house was beautifully prepared, very clean and Carbis Bay Holidays have, as usual, been a pleasure to deal with. One additional restaurant in St Ives that we discovered this year, and thoroughly enjoyed, was The Loft, which we visited several times. Our favourite attraction outside of St Ives is Trengwainton gardens, which are always worth a visit, and they have an excellent cafe there, too. The best comment we can make about H2oh! is that we will almost certainly want to return next year." J. Owen
