  • "The property was as listed."

There were a couple of lightbulbs that were out and the garden could do with some TLC. The trampoline had a rip in the netting and the sun loungers weren’t useable. All in all a very nice property, we would 100% stay again.

  • "Interior of property lovely ."

Kitchen space amazing just a few more high stools for island.bed 10 oit of 10 for comfort . Cant fault the interior but outside needs some TLC. Trampaline net ripped ,one of sofas looked bust with a big dip, and the scaffolding boards on scaffolding not really an out side table plus no umbarella . Also greenery needs trimming back around back area as caught my leg on brambles. 2 louger covers up there were old and ripped. All in all great stay just minor faults mrs S Nason.

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to hear you loved the interior however we are saddened to hear that you had a few issues during your stay. We would always like the opportunity to rectify any points so please contact one of the local team and we will be able to assist straight away. Thank you again. • "Beautiful cottage."

We booked this because my wife cannot get up stairs due to being on oxygen and we needed a last minute cottage with bedroom and all facilities downstairs so it suited us well.very comfortable. The only tiny issue was the downstairs bathroom shower screen did not catch all the spray we thought it had been broken and we had to wipe up the bathroom floor afterwards and I meant to ring up and report it. We couldn’t find the comments book either

  • "Wow what a beautiful house!"

In such a peaceful setting of Carbis Bay. The balcony from the upstairs bedrooms were amazing for taking in the morning views and sunshine. The beds were super comfy and the upstairs bath was fantastic. The living area is on the small side for the size of house but the kitchen is perfect for sitting in. Unless you eat on the outdoor table there isn't space for all 8 people to dine together which is a shame- we ended up using the dining table with a few sat at the kitchen island slightly round the corner. There seems to be lots of furniture packed into the living / dining area, not sure it's all needed. The outdoor area is great - the trampoline a fantastic bonus but not safe for really little ones- lots of steps and hard surfaces. The kitchen is an absolute delight - had everything we needed to cook meals in, really well stocked. Really lovely welcome pack with plenty of information on the area and the house - no visitor book though ? Carbis Bay itself is stunning- beware it's a short trip to the beach (approx half a mile) but it's a steep steep hill back. We enjoyed a walk down after dinner on an evening. The train into St Ives is beautiful - but stay on it right to St Erth to get the amazing views and then come all the way back again. St Ives walking distance away- super busy in August- would love to return back out of season. The Spanish round the corner really good and one to try. All in all a fantastic holiday home , sad to see it's no longer pet friendly though which would put us off returning.

Thank you for your feedback. Mincarlo is a favourite of ours, for exactly the reasons you have mentioned, beautiful house, peaceful setting. Kindest Regards The Carbis Bay Holidays Team. Property Owner

  • "Overall the property was comfortable, very clean and in a nice quiet spot where you could certainly feel very relaxed."

However, although the property is presented as a high end holiday let and priced as such, we were disappointed with some of the details; * missing kitchen items; cork screw, salad servers, only one chopping board - health and hygiene would necessitate there to be separate chopping boards for different foods, serving spoons, hand towel * a meagre supply of dishwasher tablets, not enough to run it each night, also very small amount of washing up liquid * an OS map of the area would have been useful

Dear Mrs Paxton Thank you for your feedback following your stay at Mincarlo. We are pleased to hear you found it comfortable and clean. It is a lovely quiet spot. I am sorry you were disappointed with some of the kitchen items, the owner has replaced the items missing. A starter pack of dishwashing items are supplied to all self catering properties. • "Mincarlo is a fabulous house and an ideal property for 8 people."

It’s very clean, nicely decorated and well equipped with everything you need. Ideal location with beach within walking distance albeit with a couple of steep hills to climb on the way back. Thoroughly recommend La Casita (Spanish) restaurant which is just around the corner. Re the stated construction work; this caused us no problem at all with minimal noise heard. On the downside we really didn’t think the outside areas were child friendly; both front & back had several levels with no safety railings guarding them - note that the web photo of back area needs updating to show this. The property info book could do with updating as some items weren’t available e.g.no gas bar-b-q, key to access heating controls not present and there was no visitor comment book in the property. Overall we did thoroughly enjoy the stay and would consider staying here again.

Thank you for your feedback. Thank you for your constructive comments, these have been taken on board and reported to the necessary departments to look into. As well as making sure all relevant information is up to date for future guests. We are so pleased that you loved the apartment and weren't affected by the building works. We hope to get the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. Kind Regards, The Carbis Bay Holidays Team Property Owner

  • "This is a very nice property, well appointed and comfortable."

It is located around a 15-20 minute walk away from Carbis Bay beach which suited us. The walk to the beach is quite steep in places and there are a number of routes. We had an issue with the heating during our stay with the lounge zone not working, but found a portable heater that helped. When reported, Carbis Bay Holidays couldn't have been more helpful and they were prepared to come out over the weekend to resolve the issue. We would happily stay at this property again.

Dear Mr Woods, Thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback for your recent stay at Mincarlo. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay and the location suited you. Once again we were sorry to find the heating not performing how it should during your stay, but we are pleased to hear you found our property team helpful during the time you were with us. Thank you very much for your feedback, it is much appreciated! We will let the owner’s know about your concern over the front steps in case there is anything we can do in the future to give it some support when walking up and down. Kind regards, The Carbis Bay Holidays Team Property Owner

  • "There was a games room that we couldn’t get to as it was locked."

There was no mention that this was not accessible. The house was nice and gave us good access to everything we needed. It was a shame about the building site opposite the property though.

Hi Salvatore, Thank you for your feedback, we hope you had a lovely holiday. Yes, I am afraid the games room is just for the owner's use which is why it is not an advertised feature. However they do provide a trampoline for entertaining children. The building works are mentioned on the website description to ensure guests are kept as up to date as possible but I appreciate it must be frustrating. Ives area for many years. The Mincarlo property certainly met and exceeded our expectations. It is well located in terms of being central to the beach, restaurants, pubs, the supermarket, as well as St Ives.
