  • "This is a lovely apartment in a beautiful part of Cornwall."

It is only a short walk down to the beach at Carbis Bay and we walked to St Ives a few times too. St Ives has plenty of places to eat and also has a lovely beach. We drove to a couple of National Trust places within 30 mins...St Michael's mount is very impressive. The apartment in spacious and comfortable; it had everything we needed for the week with our two children. Main bedroom is en suite with another bathroom across from the other bedroom. Small issue was noise transference from the apartment above us...thumping footsteps across the ceiling at night. Tescos just down the rd in a ten minute walk....huge supermarkets a short drive towards Penzance. We also visited Healys cyder farm.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us your lovely feedback! With Kind Regards, The Carbis Bay Holidays Team Property Owner

Had everything we needed and more. Lovely finishing touches and spotlessly clean. The weather was cool for August, 17 degrees, but the apartment temperature was just right. Would definitely visit again and will recommend to family and friends.

  • "We have just returned from a week's holiday at Sea Glass in Carbis Bay."

... what a gorgeous apartment....and the balcony is fantastic, just a shame we didn't have the weather to use it to its best advantage....apartment is in a fantastic location for exploring the delights of Cornwall.... Gannet Inn and La Casita served gorgeous food.... Just a couple of things that we feel would make the apartment 100% perfect: * a wardrobe in bedroom 2.... we were 4 adults and had to share 1 wardrobe * small selection of condiments, salt, pepper, oil, ketchup/brown sauce etc (even if these are 'sachets') * a lamp in the window near the corner sofa to create 'ambiance' (the reading lamp is stunning, I've even bought the same shade) * the hoover looked as thought it had not been emptied since it was bought, was VERY compacted and took 2 of us 30 mins to scrape out!! It's evident that the cleaners don't check this either! * Pegs. I understand why there is only a maiden, but pegs are needed to keep clothes on the maiden when placed on the balcony These are not items that would stop us from staying again, but are 'inexpensive' fixes for the owner to create the perfect place.

Thank you very much for your lovely Feedback following your recent holiday at Sea Glass and we are so pleased to read your wonderful comments about the property. Thank you also for your recommendations and suggestions, we will pass these on for consideration. We look forward to the opportunity to welcome you back again the future. Everything you could possibly need, and a larger apartment than we expected. The terrace is beautiful to have breakfast on, and the location is in easy reach of Carbis Bay beach (6 min walk) and the many beaches of St Ives (a leisurely walk or a 3 minute train ride away). The apartment has high spec facilities and fixtures. We wouldn’t change anything. Thank you for a lovely holiday. We will be back!

  • "It was very cold when we arrived ."

Shaun came over and very kindly loaned us a heater which was a godsend. The towel rails were not on so again Shaun sorted it out after a few days. We understand the price of Electricity is a real problem but we expected the place to be warm. Its a complicated system we understand as have had problems with it before. We thought that the housekeeper should have made sure the heating was on.

Thank you for your feedback and we are very sorry the property was not warm on your arrival as it normally is for guests staying during the Winter months. We are pleased to have rectified the issue as quickly as possible once we were aware and apologise for the inconvenience caused by this. We have spoken to the housekeeper to avoid this from happening again going forward. We hope you overall were still able to enjoy your time in Carbis Bay. A very modern, spacious and comfortable property. No complaints at all. We had a very relaxing stay. I have stayed in Carbis Bay many times. The area is great if you just want to relax, sit on the beach, do some walking and not rely on a car. Wonderful supermarket (Tesco) just up the road from Sea Glass and a lovely walk down to the beach. A bit of a walk uphill back but I enjoyed the exercise. In fact, I am thinking about not booking an abroad holiday later in the year and coming back to Carbis Bay.

    This does not prevent covid

Dear Mr Poulton, thank you for taking the time to leave Feedback following your recent stay at Sea Glass and I am pleased to hear you felt the property was in a good location and nicely furnished. With regards to the linen bags, as I’m sure you appreciate the safety of our guests and Housekeeping team is of the utmost importance to us and although the bags do not prevent COVID, as they are dis-solvable they facilitate reduced handling throughout the laundry process of potentially infected bedding. We are hoping to be able to remove this requirement in the near future. We look forward to welcoming you back to Carbis Bay again in the future. The double mattress in the main room is a bit too soft for us, which is why we used the other bedroom and it is a little bit darker also.
