• "Fantastic apartment in an excellent location."

  Regular visitors to Carbis Bay and Silver Sands. Unable to give 5 stars on this occasion as unfortunately we noted that the property was not in its best condition & had deteriorated since our last stay in February 2023. The main issue was the condition of the washing machine- the rubber seal was mouldy & was full of slimy residue .We attempted to clean it but it still needs attention so as not to disappoint other guests.

  Thank you very much for returning and we are so glad that you enjoy Silver Sands. If you ever experience any problems with the property and particularly its cleanliness please report them to the Carbis Bay Holidays team and they will make sure that they are rectified. • "Silver Sands is one of the best properties that we have stayed in at Carbis Bay."

  Over the last ten years we have stayed in numerous Sykes and Carbis Bay holiday destinations. The standard of cleanliness, modern furniture and facilities are all first class and the view from the balcony is very pleasing. The kitchen layout and equipment enables you easily prepare food. I am a blue badge disabled person so it was great to be able to use the level entrance into the building. The only downside was that the Sky Q Box was not functioning properly, but Luke from Property Management greatly helped to try and solve this problem. Overall, we would certainly recommend the apartment to others and we will be booking to visit again, later in this year.

• "Lovely apartment, very comfortable, clean and well equipped."

  Felt very safe with the gated entrance. It was well situated, a short walk to the station. Quite a steep walk to the beach so be mindful if you think that it may be a struggle. We visited many nice places, St Michael’s Mount, Healeys cider farm, Eden project and St Ives. Would highly recommend

• "This apartment is absolutely stunning, it has beautiful views from the balcony over Carbis Bay and is extremely well equipped."

  It is spacious, spotlessly clean, decorated and furnished like a show home and has everything you could wish for in terms of comfort and practical living. It is only a short walk from the breathing beach of Carbis Bay and the coastal walk to St Ives is delightful plus a little train runs along next to it and is very reasonably priced. We had such a lovely holiday here, we didn't want to go home! Ten out of ten, we will be back!

• "Generally very satisfied."

  The only dissatisfaction was that the patio door glass and the balcony glass was quite dirty and spoilt the view. I gather that they are cleaned every two months. If they have been cleaned in that timescale it is insufficient.

We are very sorry to hear the windows at the property were dirty, unfortunately we are currently experiencing issues with it being the seagull nesting season and windows are being messed again shortly after being cleaned. Unfortunately the owner was unable to renew their membership with the C Bay Spa as the C Bay Spa did not offer renewals of Spa memberships anymore at the time. • "This was a lovely apartment, we have stayed at The sands before, but in a different apartment, so had a little bit of a heads up with directions and keys etc…."

  .fantastic views, perfect kitchen and bathrooms and everything was beautifully clean . Two little things we couldn’t get the patio door to unlock in the bedroom however much we tried , so had a few very warm nights and also the car park lights are so bright , so being on the middle floor , even with blackout curtains the light shone through a bit too much . ( we had penthouse last year , top floor ) But it would not put us off from staying again , in fact we are already trying to see if we can get a crafty week away in September. Thankyou and hope to visit again , and sgain

• "Property was fantastic, view and location was perfect."

  The use of spa facilities at Carbis Bay really made it a special break. The only negative was the intercom did not work, with only 1 key we had to stay up for our guests. Would return again and also book with Carbis Bay holidays.

Our two-year old daughter slept brilliantly well in the travel cot in the second bedroom and loved eating in the high chair provided. The fact that the apartment was on the same level as the carpark made access to and from the apartment really easy, even with a pushchair. We really enjoyed day-trips to the Eden Project, St Michael's Mount & Kynance Cove. In terms of toddler-friendly activities, we had a great time at Paradise Park in Hayle, meeting penguins close-up and feeding the goats and sheep. The walks we really enjoyed were to Zennor Head, Gurnards Head, Godrevy Point, Hells Mouth, Kynance Cove to Lizard. Pendennis castle at Falmouth is worth visiting as it offers fantastic views. The same goes for St. Michael´s Mount. We also enjoyed Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan very much. Our recommendations for restaurants would be La Casita at Carbis Bay and The Badger Inn.   The apartment was lovely, very clean and well equipped. We loved the walk from Carbis Bay to St Ives and found the train was very useful too to save taking the car to St Ives. It was quite a bargain for the 4 of us travelling together as we could use the Groupsave fare of £4 for the 4 of us for a return journey. It was fun to be in St Ives for November 5th, and to watch the fireworks on Porthminster Beach. We also enjoyed trips out to Lands End, the Minack theatre and the Lizard peninsula. Restaurants we particularly enjoyed were the Seafood Cafe & the Porthminster Beach Cafe, and we also had a superb lunch at Jamie Oliver's Fifteen at Watergate Bay, about 45 minutes drive away." J.
