  • "A lovely property with fabulous views from the garden, dining room window and decking."

Plenty of parking for a large and small car on the driveway. The bathrooms were a very good size with great showers and a lovely bath. The three bedroom were a good size, one bedroom does not have any wardrobe space so nowhere to hang clothes which we hadn't realised from the photos. The other bedroom had a large built in wardrobe but inside was a bit dusty and needs renovating. The washer and dryer were great for use over our holiday. The kitchen diner was fabulous, the benches were not very comfortable but I understand with the space why they have used them. We did not use the cooker a lot as the marking in the settings have almost gone so was difficult to judge what setting you were choosing. The fridge was a big size so perfect for six. The living room was comfy, as mentioned in previous reviews the tv is small and not a smart tv so only freeview chanels available. Overall the property was clean but on looking up there was a lot of cobwebs throughout the property that looked as though they'd been there some time. We also were left one towel each for a fortnight and only found out we could have replacements after I had already washed them at the end of our first week. Maybe something could be left in the property instructions so you know in advance that the towels and bedding can be replaced. Aside the few little niggles we would stay here again as we feel they did not impact our enjoyment of the property too much. The garden was beautifully kept and lovely to sit and enjoy the views which were breath taking. Overall a fantastic two weeks stay at Trelowen.

Dear Mrs Callaghan Thank you for your feedback, following your stay at Trelowen. We are delighted to hear you would stay again. Thank you for bringing a few points to our attention for improvement. Kind Regards The Carbis Bay Holidays Team Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely week's holiday at Trelowen."

Great location, beautiful garden and views, comfy beds and plenty room for a family of six! The only negative was the garden furniture could've been more modern and comfortable. Plus, no washing up liquid provided so we had to buy our own. Otherwise, a great holiday home in a stunning part of Cornwall. We would certainly be happy to return!

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you had such a lovely stay. Your comments have been taken on board and reported to the relevant department. We apologise that you didn’t receive any fairy liquid in your starter pack, if you have any queries or issues like this during your stay please contact the local office on 01736 630015 option 2, and one of the local team will be able to assist you straight away. • "The property was fabulous - just as described and plenty of room for everyone."

Kitchen facilities were good with enough crockery, utensils, glass ware etc for everyone. Was a little concerned reading previous reviews but cannot fault anything. Carbis Bay Holidays were prompt when reporting extractor fan in en-suite not working. We were happy to just report this for future renters!!! But within hours it was repaired and a very friendly chat with staff on the phone. We also had a message before we arrived that some grouting was done in the shower and to leave it for 24 hours - very professionally done and communication was excellent. Overall a very pleasant week was enjoyed by all. It was our 42nd anniversary - and we had a parcel delivered on the day we arrived which the housekeeper kindly left for us on the kitchen table. Would love to return again - but hey the worlds our oyster - many more cottages to add to our portfolio!! PS - the walk up the hill was quite a hike as we arrived by train!!! But this did not spoil our time away. Transport using the busses was very easy and very frequent - excellent prices too. All the team at both Sykes Cottages and Carbis Bay Holidays deserve much praise - thank you very much. Julie

Using the holidayakers own login to stream. The housekeeper should be given a good mention as she was very pleasent and informative. Therw should have been laundry bags but they were not available!! Other than that the accommodation was first class. the beds were very comfortable as was the sofa and armchairs

Dear Mr Kemble, thank you for taking your time to leave Feedback following your recent stay at Trelowen, we will pass your valued comments to the relevant persons for their attention and consideration. • "This property is in a great location, but is badly in need of some updating."

The wardrobe in the second bedroom was the worst; it was so bad I refused to put any clothes in it. Other issues were grout falling away from the tiles in the shower to the main bathroom and a rusty towel rail. The tv was also tiny and had freebies channels only, whereas in most properties we stay in now we find we can use apps on the tv like Netflix and Amazon Prime. I also found rubbish behind the bedside tables which I was unimpressed with. Overall, the cleanliness and standard of the property is not in keeping with the photos.

  • "We had a few small issues (broken toaster and stuck Skylight ) which were dealt with very quickly."

I had to report the tumble drier is in need of either a service or clean out and a loose toilet seat. We didn't need those sorting during our stay but our request was acknowledged quickly. All communications with you has been very good and promptly dealt with before and during our stay. The bungalow is in a lovely location and very spacious. However we found the dining benches less appealing that dining chairs ..difficult to move in and out of if there are more than 2 people sitting there and also not very comfy. The kitchen is well kitted out although another small slicing knife would have been useful. But overall perfect !

  • "A lovely quiet location but so easy to get to other places ."

The bungalow is comfortable with plenty of space. It has a fabulous wrap around garden but sadly we did not have the weather to enjoy it. We were not keen on the wooden bench instead of chairs at the table. It was very heavy to move and it was difficult to get out when 4 people were sitting at it . However a very pleasant place to stay and would love to come back but the prices next year will probably put us off. Unfortunately !

  • "We’ve had a fabulous week here!"

The bungalow lived up to our expectations, spacious. Well designed and felt like home with a few luxuries. The locations perfect for exploring and the views were arranging. We had breakfast on the decking most mornings. Carbis Bay beach is so handy, lovely sands so we spend a few days there and did paddle boarding with Ocean Sports based on the beach, they are just brilliant with beginners! Coastal path to St Ives is lovely with amazing views train is very handy. Thank you, Carbis Bay Holidays,
