“Had a wonderful time at Medlar Tree Cottage with our two teenage daughters and two dogs.”
. The pool and hot tub were a fantastic luxury and the surrounding gardens were stunning. We had amazing weather throughout so were in the pool every day. The location was a great base for exploring nearby tourist attractions such as The Eden Project, Flambards theme park, and Babbacome Model Village in Torquay. We also found there were some beautiful dog friendly beaches nearby. We all had an amazing time and will definitely book again in the future.- Mrs Ross, July 2019
“My family and I had a wonderfully relaxing break at Medlar Tree Cottage.”
The accommodation is charmingly rustic and comfortable and is very well equipped. The leisure facilities are fantastic, we took advantage of the marvellous pool, hot tub and sauna every day of our stay. The house was clean, the beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of space to enjoy. The surrounding area is simply stunning, the best of British countryside. We explored a few places in Cornwall, highlights were definitely Jamaica Inn (a mere 6 miles down the road) and fish and chips from Rick Stein's in Padstow. All in all a wonderful break!- Mr Lucas, June 2019
“Loved the swimming pool, absolutely beautiful surroundings, perfect family holiday.”- Mrs Watts, May 2019
“When we arrived at the house we were greeted by a wonderful view the house and it’s surroundings.”
The house was exactly as described and the beds were extremely comfortable a wonderful seven nights sleep. The pool was amazing and the hot tub topped off by the sauna. The owners were on hand to help out and offer invaluable advice on local beaches and other attractions. This house above all offered a wonderfully peaceful holiday which was achieved with four kids and two dogs!- Mrs Goode, April 2019
“A lovely relaxing holiday with our two dogs.”
Slept like a log every night in comfy bed, and just silence all around. The cottage is in quite a remote area, but just a short drive down to Bodmin. Plenty of things to do in the area, and loads of places to take the dogs without crowds of people. Although next to the owners cottage, we weren't disturbed at all and enjoyed the pool and hot tub facilities.- Mrs Sumner, August 2018
“The oweners was very helpful in telling us how to get to places and making our stay enjoyable.”- Mrs Craig, July 2018
“This cottage had everything we expected and is located down very narrow lanes so be prepared at all times for local people to come round the bend in their 4x4 vehicles.”- Mr Marchant, August 2017

You enter the cottage into the delightful, warm and cosy dining room with the woodburner adding to the character.
To the right an archway leads into the well-equipped kitchen, whilst on the other side a further archway takes you into the sitting room with a vaulted ceiling and panoramic windows looking out over the beautiful gardens.
From the sitting room you go through into the sun room with seating, where many summer evenings will be spent, as well as housing the infrared sauna and giving direct access through the French doors out to the patio, swimming pool and hot tub.

About the location
Bodmin 5.7 miles; Wadebridge 8.4 miles; Polzeath 13.2 miles; Tintagel 13.8 miles; Padstow 16 miles; Fowey 17.2 miles.
Situated under the western edge of granite-bound Bodmin Moor, the village of Blisland retains its age old character and is the only village in Cornwall to have a village green with trees. Around the green, cluster old houses and cottages, as well as the famous, award-winning Blisland Inn. The village is located less than three miles from the A30, and so provides an ideal central location for touring Cornwall. Nearby, Poley’s Bridge marks the beginning of the Camel Trail, a 17-mile long route, which follows a long disused old steam engine railway line to Padstow. The route is completely traffic-free and perfect for walkers and cyclists. You can even explore the trail on horseback and a purpose-built hide has been constructed between Wadebridge and Padstow, so even birdwatchers are catered for! Pull on your walking boots and explore Bodmin Moor, or venture to the coast with your buckets and spades and enjoy a day on one of the many beautiful beaches that stretch along Cornwall’s northern coastline. A fabulous part of the country for all!
