Normally I am always keen to get home after 7 days away but was sad to leave the cottage. Cottage is located in a quiet location but located between a30 and a38 so is a great base to explore Cornwall. Cottage was very spacious and everything is catered to fit 8 people comfortably both inside and out. Hot tub was a constant 39c. As visit was in October with mostly rain the pool was on the cool side but knew that was always a risk as clearly stated in the advert. Even the sauna was good at 38c. The gardens are very mature and established so made for relaxing scenery. Living room had huge tv with a bt tv package which was very pleasant surprise. Huge windows which allowed in lots of natural light. Broadband was good speed and reliable which is always an important thing for my husband. Mobile signal was weak but there is a phone you can use along with an honesty box. Or what we did was put our mobiles on to wi if calling. Kitchen was huge and had plenty of everything. Dining room with the lovely log burner and huge dining room table designed for at least 8 people Upstairs are 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 separate bathrooms with toilet and shower. The set up allows you to choose whether en-suite or not. The room with the super king bed has sky lights so you can watch the stars whilst lying in bed Everything was clean and had been sanitised Lastly the hosts were very friendly but respected your space and left you alone but were there if you needed them. I am already hoping that I can get back there next year! Thank you mr and mrs smart your home and grounds were idyllic.

You enter the cottage into the delightful, warm and cosy dining room with the woodburner adding to the character.

To the right an archway leads into the well-equipped kitchen, whilst on the other side a further archway takes you into the sitting room with a vaulted ceiling and panoramic windows looking out over the beautiful gardens.

From the sitting room you go through into the sun room with seating, where many summer evenings will be spent, as well as housing the infrared sauna and giving direct access through the French doors out to the patio, swimming pool and hot tub.

There is also a separate shower if you need warming up when coming out of the pool.

About the location

BLISLAND

Bodmin 5.7 miles; Wadebridge 8.4 miles; Polzeath 13.2 miles; Tintagel 13.8 miles; Padstow 16 miles; Fowey 17.2 miles.

Situated under the western edge of granite-bound Bodmin Moor, the village of Blisland retains its age old character and is the only village in Cornwall to have a village green with trees.

Around the green, cluster old houses and cottages, as well as the famous, award-winning Blisland Inn.

The village is located less than three miles from the A30, and so provides an ideal central location for touring Cornwall.

Nearby, Poley’s Bridge marks the beginning of the Camel Trail, a 17-mile long route, which follows a long disused old steam engine railway line to Padstow.

The route is completely traffic-free and perfect for walkers and cyclists.

You can even explore the trail on horseback and a purpose-built hide has been constructed between Wadebridge and Padstow, so even birdwatchers are catered for! Pull on your walking boots and explore Bodmin Moor, or venture to the coast with your buckets and spades and enjoy a day on one of the many beautiful beaches that stretch along Cornwall’s northern coastline.

A fabulous part of the country for all!.
