This is a great area for exploring gardens with Glendurgan, Trebah and Penjerrick a short drive away and walkers will love to stroll along the coastal footpath.
The ever popular port of Falmouth is four miles away and shoppers will enjoy a mooch, a latte and a lunch.
Meanwhile, there are ferries taking passengers to Flushing and St Mawes or up river to the city of Truro.

Located near the mouth of the Helford River in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Mawnan Smith is a pretty little village. It is home to a traditional pub overlooking the water, a restaurant, a church and a handful of shops. The surrounding area is perfect for ramblers, with an abundance of creekside and woodland walks, and subtropical gardens at Glendurgan and Trebah. The Helford River also offers opportunities for kayaking and sailing as well as fishing. The nearby maritime town of Falmouth is a popular resort, with a range of shops and restaurants, bowling alley and the National Maritime Museum…. Or why not catch the ferry from Helford Passage to Helford Village and explore the picturesque South Helford? Enterprise Boats offer trips up the River Fal from Falmouth to Truro, passing iconic maritime locations and landmarks as well as several ocean-going vessels which anchor in the river.
