  • “The house was lovely but the customer service awful.”

The WiFi broke and you said you’d call back but never did - we waited in all afternoon for you to do so but the call never came. In a villlage with no phone signal and no tv reception and also given we had to do some work as well - WiFi was incredibly important to us. There was no free view even like it states there is. So half our stay was affected. The dishwasher was filthy. We had to clean the filter and rewash half the dishes there was one plate which had just been put back in the ...

We had to clean the filter and rewash half the dishes there was one plate which had just been put back in the cupboard unwashed. Why don’t you fill machines with rinse aid and salt it should be a given. We tried to extend our stay one night so we didn’t have to travel back on my partners birthday but your phone lines were down. We wrote 6 messages over to the course of 2 days but no one replied again. As soon as you heard we might not have left you rang to chase for money, but still haven’t come back on me on my raft of queries about the property itself, and haven’t apologised for the experience we had even though I have subsequently emailed about it in response to your email to chase for money. Overall disappointing experience for what could have been fixed quite quickly customer service wise.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. I am sorry that you had difficultly contact us regarding the wifi. The broadband provider has attended and now solved this issue which was beyond the owners control. Property Owner

About the location

ST MAWGAN

Newquay 6 miles ; Padstow 9 miles ; St Columb Major 3.5 miles

The picturesque little village of St Mawgan lies just north of Newquay, nestled in the Lanherne Valley. The village is home to a thirteenth century church, which is dedicated to St Maganus and St Nicholas. Notably in the graveyard, there is a rowing boat stern - a memorial to sailors who froze to death in local waters in 1846. The River Menalhyl runs through St Mawgan, and the village also has two welcoming inns as well as a friendly village stores with Post Office and tea rooms. The beach at Mawgan Porth is just two miles outside of St Mawgan, and there is also a beautiful Japanese garden just outside the village where you can buy indoor Bonsai trees, succulents, Buddha statues and wind chimes. With Newquay Cornwall airport based just outside St Mawgan, the village enjoys a most convenient location.
