  • "We came with my parents and children for a much needed break, We had a lovely time in a beautiful cottage."

The owners are lovely and the cottage is stunning with amazing views. We will definitely be coming back. Xx

  • "Lovely cottage beautiful setting."

Comfortable bed. Doors didn’t shut properly which is an inconvenience if you have dogs. Only enough wood for one evening and given the time of year would have thought more logs would be available without having to purchase them. Overall an enjoyable stay and would return.

  • "A lovely cottage in a nice location for our family of 5."

Even had room for friends that we travelled with to come over and socialise. Lots of little things in the cottage for us to use that you don’t get in most self catering cottages that made the stay easier and more homely. Would definitely recommend

  • "We had a nice stay at Barn Owl."

One point to note however was at the end of our stay the owner tried to bill us for £7.50, the glue to fix a chair he said we had broken. He tried to take it out of the £150.00 housekeeping money we paid at the beginning of our stay. The chairs in our rooms we noted at the beginning of our stay were very rickety and one of the seats came off in our hands when we moved one. Be aware of this as it was a bit of a shock and a great shame.

  • "We had such a warm welcome with the Christmas tree lights on, chocolates and treats for my kids and Christmas bedding for my eldest son."

Seeing as we booked right at the last minute (on the morning of the day of arrival!) the owners went above and beyond to have the cottage ready. We had a lovely stay and would love to go back.
