• "This was our second stay at Celeste and we will happily be booking again."

  It's a perfect location being so close to the beach, even in October our children love to be in the sea. Everything we needed was in the apartment, it was very clean and the little welcome gifts of milk, biscuits and apple juice were appreciated! The train station nearby is another plus and makes getting to St Ive's really easy. We have recommended this property to family and friends if they ever venture to Cornwall.

• "Lovely apartment with great views, would recommend and stay again."

  Only minor niggles were the main light not working in the twin bedroom and quite a few bulbs generally not working but nothing that detracted from our stay. I appreciate it's not directly related to the property but the lift was not working on the morning we left which was not ideal with multiple trips up and down the stairs with heavy bags

• "The pictures don’t show how spacious the flat is, so we were really pleased when we arrived."

  The lift was not working the first weekend, but was fixed on the Monday, so even better. Beautiful garden with lovely seating and viewing areas were also a lovely surprise. Definitely want to come back and stay here again, thank you

  Only negatives would be we couldn't get the main oven (bottom one) to work, and couldn't find the manual. Second twin room, light bulb broken, not really an issue.

• "The apartment is in a lovely location and within walking distance to the St Ives habour area, with a nice path through the woods and a bridge over the railway line or you could easily take the train."

  The apartment is well equipped with good crockery, cookware and utensils. There is a washing machine, dishwasher, clothes drying racks, iron, ironing board and boards games, reading books etc. The only downside for me was that the unit has small windows that don't open much so sea views can be hampered. We all had to congregate or share the two small windows to get a view. The views would be amazing if the windows could open more or differently. Check in and out is self service and the instructions via email are clear. Could not get the Sky TV channels to work so it would be good if there were instructions for key items put up in the apartment e.g. the geyser was switched off when we got in, so we had to figure this out. The lift to the unit is really helpful and convenient to get through luggage and groceries. Welcome gifts of biscuits, chocolates and juice was a lovely gesture by the host.

• "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Celeste."

  The apartment was very comfortable and well appointed. We liked the little touches of milk, biscuits and chocolate buttons!! Once we'd worked out why the heating wasn't working - timing on controls all wrong - we were warm and cosy! We were missing non slip mats for the showers, they were sorted for us Several people had commented in the guest book that they would have expected a bigger bed in the master bedroom and we would agree with that.

• "We had an extremely enjoyable stay at Celeste over the October half term."

  First time visiting Cornwall at this time of year and it didn’t disappoint. My young girls loved the view of Carbis Bay from the apartment and also their shared bedroom. The apartment was perfect for our needs, extremely clean and with all the extras you need with little ones - ironing board, Hoover, buckets & spades even a hair dryer! It’s the perfect distance to the lovely beach (great exercise too up and down the steep hill!) and easy driving distance to other towns and attractions. We will definitely recommend staying in Celeste to our friends & family and will definitely be making a return visit! Thank you so much

• "Celeste is a really comfortable property with great views over Carbis bay beach and out towards St Ives and in the other direction Godfrey Lighthouse."

  The property was extremely well maintained and spotlessly clean and well equipped. It's so nice to fine owners taking a pride in the standard of the accommodation provided. We are so used to a King sized bed however, that it would have been perfect to have had a larger bed in the master bed room, but that is a very minor issue. The on site parking and closeness to the rail station (less than 5 mins walk) where trains run about twice an hour to and from St Ives is a definite advantage. You can also travel to St Erth where you can take a connecting train to Penzance if you don't want to drive. We would have no difficulty in recommending the property to a party of 4 (plus infant) and would certainly hope to return in the future.

• "Excellent property in a wonderful location."

  Three points of feedback - The double bed is too small and the single beds have hard mattresses The shower tray filled with water as the drain outlet was bunged up. We bought some drain cleaner that seemed to sort out this issue but would have thought the cleaner would have been aware of this issue. Finally, some of the light bulbs weren’t working in the kitchen.

• "Great little property, clean and with a great view over the Atlantic, occasionally you will even see the train go past (but not hear - so it’s never intrusive) ."

  Car park and the garden area are an added bonus. Only issues we had were , firstly when we arrived there were no keys to the flat available, luckily this was rapidly resolved. Secondly both showers were partially blocked resulting in a pool forming with every use. Finally the batteries in all the remotes including the electric gates need replacing. Other than that a great base to explore Cornwall with St Ives only a 3 minute train ride away.

• "Lovely flat in a gorgeous area."

  Flat well equipped but could do with smart TV and proper DVD player.

• "Apartment in fabulous location."

  But some big drawbacks - the bed is far too small in main bedroom. This has been the subject of lots of feedback in the visitor book so can only conclude that the owner just doesn’t care about guest comfort. Also, the pillows are dreadful so overall does not make for a good nights sleep which is just not OK. Also, on arrival the security gates wouldn’t open and this is a major nuisance when people have driven 7+ hours to get there. This affected other holidaymakers and need to be rectified.

• "Our stay at Celeste was fabulous."

  Lovely apartment with secure parking. Nice touches with the apple juice, chocolates and Vouchers for scones and pasties. Home from home. The problem we had was sorted the same day. Love staying in Carbis Bay and the views from this apartment did not disappoint. Close to the beach and train station so trips out to St Ives each night. Would stay again. Thank you

• "Absolutely loved our holiday."

  The apartment was spotless clean, beautifully presented and cannot find a single thing to complain about. The parking was an added bonus, no worries about losing our spot if we went out in the car. The garden was beautiful and lovely to sit out in the evening, we were very lucky to get great weather. The view from our window was wonderful, looking over the beach with a coffee in the morning. Only slight snag was it's very steep getting back from the beach, but the heat didn't help it was very hot ! Train into St Ives was great and for £1 each way a bargain, although we walked a couple of times and even though quite hilly in places was worth it for the views. Thank you for the attention to detail which made our staycation 5 stars hopefully be back soon.

  We enjoyed just looking out of the window and watching the seals. The apartment was spotless, the bathrooms are well equipped and the bed was comfy even though we would have preferred a king size and there is plenty of room to accommodate a larger bed. The location is excellent, so peaceful and quiet yet easy enough to visit St Ives either by train or by taking a pleasant walk. Loved the cream tea on arrival, many thanks."

  The Tate and Barbara Hepworth kept us amused on the rainy day, but we had good walks from Carbis bay past St Ives on the coast, and from Sennan past Lands End.   The area was quiet and very safe with the added advantage of fantastic views. Being near to the train station into st ives meants you do not need to worry about parking which can be difficult. The best place for a special meal is still porthminster cafe in all the years we have been going the standards are still very high. Our favorite place in the whole of the far west is porthcurno beach and the walk to porthgarra is picture perfect. Try to get tickets for minnack theatre we have watched some fantastic shows there the most memorable one being macbeth one cold dark evening in september, it really added to the atmosphere !
